Percy left the empty office before me after making it incredibly loud and clear that I would not get any help from him, and I was left alone with my thoughts.
The reason I had decided to attend this event was not for any important reason. I had simply come to see Declan so that I could reassure myself that whatever feelings I might have felt for him in the past were well and truly gone.
