CHAPTER TWENTY TWO She heard the shower running when she entered her apartment. She also saw Ellington’s gym bag at the front door, meaning that he had just gotten back from working out. She was glad to see that he was still staying active rather than moping around the apartment, wallowing in his bad fortune. She let him enjoy his shower without bothering him.
