THE PICNIC

Williams saw that she was lost in thoughts and she was just looking at him, so he decided to pull her out of that realm

"Erm Rose, Hello" Williams called, he saw his sister leaving Rose from afar he felt the urge to go and meet Rose to find out what his sister said to her, as he walked hurriedly to Rose, Rose stood up abruptly and hit his chest.

"Erm.. wh..what.. what are you doing he.. here?" Rose stuttered terribly

"Erm I came to see you, then I saw that you had a visitor"

Rose was brought back to reality

"Why did you come to see me?" She asked

"I remember you said you didn't know how to play badminton, and the field is free today, so if you are less busy I could teach you this evening that's if it's okay with you"

"You could have just texted me"

'i***t, why didn't you just texted me that day you collected my number?' Rose thought in her head

"Oh sorry, I just wanted to see your face to" he smiled

"Nevermind, my brother will teach me how to play this evening" she bends down to pick her bag, then she turned around to leave, Williams saw that she was about to leave, he immediately caught her hand making her to turn back in shock

"Erm Rose, I didn't know you were friends with Isabella one of the big girls in school" he smiled awkwardly

"Oh you mean your sister?" Rose asked, "she told you already?", "hmm she did, you know what, please leave me alone, and go back to your betroth, I don't plan to be a side chick or a pawn for one of your stupid games" Rose blurted Out in anger

"Did she tell you that?" Williams frowned

"Does it matter who did?"

"So much for believing that, that girl will ever change" he muttered

"What are you saying?" Rose could not quite grab his words

"Rose, listen to me and please believe me, I don't " Williams sighed, "you don't? " Williams was unable to speak, this made Rose think that Isabella was right, she removed her hands from Williams grip and left, Williams stood there with clenched fist.

"I will kill Isa myself" he gritted his teeth and went back to his car.

The three girls and the two twins were on the field, they just finished picnic, Rose planned to learn badminton from Greg immediately Cece and Sophie leaves

"I didn't know Williams had a sister I bet she would be as beautiful as Williams is" George said while packing the picnic basket

"Yeah, she is, she is Isabella, and she told me everything about Williams, did you know that he is betrothed to Tracy?"

They all gasped except from Rose

"Why did he break up with her then?" Sophie asked

"Probably because he was looking for people to play, like me, Isabella told me to beware of him" Rose said still very upset

"Really?" Greg asked, "are you sure she is not lying to you? I mean what if it's a trick for you to avoid Williams so the obsessed Tracy can win Williams back?" It sounded logical, but Rose was quick to answer,

"I thought so to, until Williams himself came to see me, I told him partially what she told me about him trying to play me and that he should go back to his future wife, I expect him to counter it immediately, but to my surprise he couldn't, he sounded guilty, just then did I know that he is just a player, i thank my stars that i didn't fall hard for him else i will be broken by now" Rose said with a big frown, Cece felt bad for her friend, then she thought again about it and remembered what David told her about Williams being the obedient one.

"But I still don't believe Isabella" Cece said and everyone looked at her, "I mean, David told me everything about them, he said Williams is the obedient one and selfless one, and that the rest of them are the players, and he told me that most times it's Williams that helps in cleaning their messes, he said Williams is the only one that never shows his emotions, which is true I have never seen him showing his emotions the only time i see him smile is with Rose" Cece said and looked at Rose in the eyes, Rose sighed heavily.

"I am confused guys, I think I really like Williams now as a friend though or its probably a crush or something, I mean I at first was trying my best to avoid him but, the cruel universe always finds a way to bring me closer to my fears" Rose wailed and rested her head on the field,

"The evening sun is beautiful" Rose commented and the rest of them laid down on their backs like Rose did, they also looked at the evening sun.

"I think you should give him a chance to speak Rose" Greg said, "Williams is a good one, my few days with him, I can tell, he is so responsible and Generous, and Cece is right I have never seen him laugh or smile, the only time I saw him laugh was with you, and Tobi I think he does likes you" Greg said, Rose heaved out a heavy sigh

"Okay who enjoyed Cece and My Meal?" George changed the topic with an ecstatic look, he rested his head on his bent arm and faced the sleeping Greg

"I did, you people should open a restaurant" Sophie joked

"Ohh that's just the beginning, right George?" Cece said

"Of course I'll teach you more student" George said dramatically, Cece then sat up and bowed to George

"Yes master, I am looking forward to another terrible cooking session", they all laughed at Cece's comment and George angry face

"Terrible? Oh you are so gonna be punished" he stood up and packed the basket and blankets, they all stood up and began to laugh, then George himself began to laugh at his own comment, "okay guys we should do this more often you know," Greg said with a smile, "yes of course, i really enjoyed myself, but that can only happen in the everning after Rose shift" Sophie said

"When will you yo be back from your practice?" Cece asked Rose

"Before curfew, Greg and I plan to practice although today, then we would study together" Greg also is a Arts student, we offer the same elective courses , "besides, the lights will be bright enough for us to see what we are reading" she pointed to the solar lights.

"Okay then, stay safe Rossy" Sophie said and hugged her, Cece did the same. The trio left, leaving Rose and Greg

"Okay let's start, but you have to get changed first, I don't think you'll be able to run around in those tights pants and shoes", Rose rolled her eyes,

"Come on Greg I run in these shoes almost every day, it can't affect me, and my pants are comfortable for me, although they are itchy " she scratched her laps and smiled at her self, Greg folded his arms and looked at her with a raised brow

"Really?", he asked, "okay I'll change into my sports wear" she grabbed her bag on the floor and ran to the changing room for girls.

After a while, she came back out already changed, she ran to Greg and panted so heavily

"Oh Greg I think am gonna faint, I am so tired"

"You are so weak, how many kilometres did you run?"

"About 450 kilometres, don't tell me running is part of sport activities?"

"Oh yes it is part of it"

"Catch me I am about to collapse " Rose became dramatic all of a sudden, Greg chuckled at her reaction and pulled her clothes from the back, then he dragged her to the badminton court, he gave her a bat and a shuttle, then he taught her on how she would serve and play, after few hours Rose was getting a hang of it.
