Visiting Theophile In the Afternoon

Visiting Theophile In the Afternoon A bowl of beef stew cooked with delicious mushroom broth is available on the nightstand, complete with a glass of very soft brown sugar porridge mixed with a savory coconut milk. Jessica wholeheartedly cleaned the room from invisible dust, starting from the curtains, carpets, sheets and other things in the room. She occasionally glanced at Lavelle who was still silent with a blank stare at the ceiling of her room. “Does the madam need any other help?” Jessica asked. Lavelle looked surprised, then replied, “There’s nothing you need to help with anymore, this is enough. However, may I ask about Theophile’s current condition?” Jessica nodded in understanding. “Mr Theophile has improved quite a bit with a magic potion someone gave him, He is conscious but can’t get out of bed yet because it still takes time for the potion to work perfectly. Madame can see him this afternoon.” “Is that true? I want to meet him right now,” Lavelle replied. “Sorry, madam. However, Mr. Johnny allowed you to visit him this afternoon not now ... because Mr. Johnny asked me to serve the soup for you,” said Jessica. Lavelle shook her head quickly. “I’m so full, I just wanted to see Theophile.” “Madam... Mr. Johnny is doing this also because of you and your baby-to-be.” Jessica still tried to prevent it. “But why? I just wanted to see—” “Madam, have you ever heard of the sticky rice dish with fresh mango? If you’re interested, I can serve it as dessert,” Jessica interrupted, changing the subject. Lavelle took a deep breath then turned her gaze to a large window in the room, feeling a little disappointed that she still couldn’t see Theophile. However, she was really confused about it. Jessica had been very kind in helping her to prepare various kinds of delicious food for her but, talkative Lavelle would only keep Jessica in trouble. “I’ll make that dessert if you’re interested,” Jessica repeated, flapping her wings slightly. “I’d love it if you added a sprinkle of matcha powder on top or some delicious hazelnut chocolate topped with toasted nuts,” Lavelle said. “That sounds very good, Mrs Lavelle. I’ll make it,” Jessica replied with a slight smile. “Thank you very much, Jessica. You always help me, you’re so kind,” Lavelle mumbled later. “With pleasure, madam. It was my duty of greatest devotion to Mr. Theophile who had saved us from that Forbidden Valley.” Jessica bowed respectfully. After that Jessica said goodbye to leave in front of Lavelle who was still reluctant to get up from her bed—even though the pain she felt had improved quite a bit, she was still lazy to meet people outside because they would also forbid her to get out of that boring luxurious room. Lavelle was really feeling depressed at the moment plus, she had a slight nauseous feeling that really bothered her. And she wasn’t going to be allowed to see Theophile until this afternoon, what was he supposed to do now? She was very worried for Theophile who was badly injured just for the sake of her being kidnapped by Vanyacia. Lavelle really felt so useless in front of them, Lavelle was really a damn coward in front of them. But is that the word love? Is love just about making love? Isn’t love a sincerity that should be cherished like a giant asteroid strike? Love is confusing, mysterious, and unpredictable but, once again Lavelle tries to digest every word Theophile says that the vampire loves her very sincerely. Lavelle sighed once again then saw the soup still steaming hot, she lazily removed the thick blanket and sat in front of the nightstand—she couldn’t be selfish. That is it. *** A distinctive lavender scent wafted through Lavelle who had just entered Theophile’s luxurious room. Lavelle smiled full of emotion when she saw Theophile’s thin smile at that time, Lavelle jogged to approach the vampire she missed so much, wanted to curse but couldn’t because Lavelle just hugged him with a tight hug. The fresh scent of Theophile’s perfume slowly entered her sense of smell at that moment. “Don’t be like this again, you make me uneasy.” Theophile chuckled as she gently stroked the top of Lavelle’s head then kissed her. “I love you.” “If you love me, please promise not to do this again. You’re putting yourself in danger, Theo,” Lavelle grumbled. “Honey, I’m more worried about you than myself,” Theophile replied later, “You’re worth more than I am.” “But, you really worry me,” Lavelle grumbled once more. Theophile was still laughing while stroking the top of Lavelle’s head. “I see but, how could I possibly leave you there alone? I don’t want you to be there any longer than you can imagine.” Lavelle let go of her arms then she sighed then she asked, “Are you still feeling a little sick?” “No problem?” replied Theophile. “I’m just asking, anyways I just wanted to make sure that you’ve recovered. You’re really worried about yourself,” Lavelle said. Theophile sighed, then immediately smiled once more. “I’m fine.” “Who gave you the cloth potion?” asked Lavelle a little curiously. “A magic pony that helped me, it was s who brought me to the Forbidden Valley,” Theophile replied, “That pony helped me there, I also didn’t think she would help me by sending this potion.” “So uhm… I think the one who gave you the potion was Doctor Esther,” Lavelle said with dim eyes but, she still rested her head on Theophile’s chest. “I love you… don’t ever leave without me knowing,” Theophile said again, stroking the top of Lavelle’s head. “Have you eaten? How is the condition of our future child?” “I feel nauseous,” Lavelle said with a slight sigh. “Maybe he’s worried about his father too.” Theophile laughed. “I think so too,” Lavelle said then slightly shook her head. Made the scent of the roses she use for bathing waft into Theophile's nose. Theophile laughed for the umpteenth time. “After I recover, we will get married, I promise.” “Are you serious?” asked Lavelle, “Can we get through it?” “I’m pretty sure we’ll get through it, my dear.”
