Not a dream

Anei's life has never been the same walking in shadows in the palace trying to convince himself to refocus on the mission at hand if any thing that human girl is a destruction, that day keeps replay itself over and over again, he even decided to go back to the human world just to a glimpse of her maybe then his curiosity would be quench but that too made things a lot more complicated not only is she a mystery but also very confusing.

She was slaving away in a home that look more like hers, she belonged there but was treated like she is not part of family, human beings do not have servants but she was a servant for her own family. She could work from dawn and steal few hours of the evening to spend in her favorite spot, that very place he spent his night when he was injured could she be waiting for him to return or is that just a wishful thought either way he had spent four days in the human world just following her around all days and nights through but he had to come back to his kingdom to attend the usual session now that he has gain more respect from the ministers and that of his father against his will ha funny how the king despise his own son but can not help feeling proud of him when he has made things a lot more easier as of late.

Prince Anei has proven more informed than anticipated before by the kingdom, he has help the committee make practical decisions as far as the diplomatic issues of the kingdom are concerned, this has helped reduce chances of war between them and other kingdoms to the first Prince dismay, war is his ticket to stardom whenever he claims victory for their kingdom.

The first Prince is well aware that Prince Anei is a good swordsman because he saw he practicing one morning not as good as him according to what he has seen but close enough a threat none the less so he device a way.

Anei walks in to the throne room, everyone was already seated ready to start the session apparently there is a pressing issue that the king wishes to address today so here they are trying to find away for what ever the issue maybe.

'' Everyone you are welcome to today's session, the issue today is something we have never witnessed before. Today we shall have no presentations, we have a human situation, a human has crossed to our realm how she got through the witches is yet unclear oh that is right it is human woman but as of now we would like to find a way to get rid of her.

The king starts the session, everyone looks tense they do not know how to deal with humans let alone a human that has pass through the witch kingdom, anything is possible in this scenario but the first Prince seems to be enjoying where this discussion is heading for some reason so Prince Anei decide to sit back and understand what his intentions really lie.

'' brother could it be her, that human woman of course, the one  you left your kingdom for before maybe she has come to collect her personal slave back, don't you think? '' 

The first Prince actually finds this situation hilarious, he is even smiling at Anei, it is fake of course but a smile nevertheless, what could he be up to, he always have something up his sleeve so Prince Anei just smile back at him and sit to enjoy the show, this will be interesting other opportunity to gain more footing with the ministers, now it is time to try and understand the first Prince's game only then can he play his cards well.

'' son I do not know who the human is nor do I care about who your brother has been with, the my concern is what a human is doing in my kingdom and what do we do with the human? ''

The first Prince is surprise beyond words, the king has never let an opportunity to humiliate Prince Anei pass him but now he actually ignored that possibility and he seems to have just realise his mistake but he is not bothered by it very much.

'' father, what is there to discuss about this issue, she is a human that my dear brother do not want back for some reasons so why not serve her to the first shifted teens, they would appreciate the snack and we will be rid of a problem it is a win win solution. ''

The first Prince says hoping to get a reaction out of him but he remains emotionless, he is doing a great job but what he do not know is the fact that the third Prince do not give a damn for those creatures that set out to end him on the grounds that he is different from them who does that well now that thought may actually get a reaction out of him his brother was not expecting in a million years, he just smile at him.

'' my king, if I may the first Prince is absolutely right there is nothing to discuss about this human situation we just get rid of her, she could be a spy sent by the witches that is a possibility we can not confirm as of now. ''

The minister of welfare supports the first Prince's reasoning well that old baboon is always supporting what the first Prince suggests anyway it is like a secret agreement or something, you can smell conspiracy on those two a mile away.

'' father, I suggest we use her as bait against whoever might have sent her to our kingdom that way we can know for sure who we are up against ''

The second Prince suggests, Anei knows that is a good opinion but it need to be sold well otherwise everyone here seems to agree with the first Prince and that scares him more than he is willing to admit.

'' If I remember correctly, we have never had a human crossing to our realm before even witches can not cross without the permission from someone with high authority so that would only means that the human is the least of our worries right now for we have a traitor in our admits as we speak, that person who permitted the human into our realm is our real enemy to find. ''

He poses to let the information sink in, no one of course thought of that fact, humans can not cross to their realm without permission not even witches and you would think people who had attended this royal sessions all their life would know this simple fact but nope they do not and wish to discuss something they can not  comprehend.

'' As for feeding humans to first shifted, we do not wish to go down a road we can not manage traveling through we have a thousand first shifted so who exactly would we serve her to and who is ready to be bringing them snack because we all know that their first time will bring more problems than solve the current one but if someone is ready to address those two problems that may arise as a result then please be my guest and by all means carry on with that plan. ''

If looks could kill then Anei could be twelve feet under this very moment, six more just for emphasis to make sure he ain't coming back, the first Prince is very furious not only did the third Prince question his reasoning but he had a valid point that everyone seems to buy well it is more practical and less chaotic but that does not mean it still sicken the first Prince that his brother always find away to a shame him every time this past few months.

'' so you are suggesting we keep her alive but what can we do with a human while we investigate the matter, humans have never resided in our realm therefore we do not know how humans behave or what they are capable of either?! '' 

The king seems convinced too by his third son though he do not wish to admit it his third son thinks more practical than the rest and his emotions are never or less  a driving force behind his decisions or at least that is what the king thinks, he is proud of him like a father should be but he hides this fact well.

'' like my dear brother said before, I did leave this kingdom for the human world therefore I know how they behave, I know all there is to know and them and am in need of a chamber maid, I have borrowed my dear sister's maid every time I need one  so generous anyway I'm suggesting she works for me after all she has a lot to pay on behalf of the rest so we can focus on unmasking the real enemy as for the human she will be my prisoner if that settles everything. ''

Everyone seems to be considering the option but the first and fifth Prince are unconvinced or rather do not wish to witness the genius solving one more diplomatic affair with just a few words so the fifth Prince speaks up for the first time since the session started.

'' father, I think we should get rid of the human, whether we get rid of her or my dear brother keeps her as his personal slave do not have a direct impact on our investigation, of what worth is a human maid anyway, her presence will just bring a lot of tension in the kingdom, she will be a constant reminder of a situation that we do not wish to bother the entire kingdom with after all. ''

He says with a matter of fact tone, well looks like they are all determined to prevent Anei from getting his way but well he always get what he wants right and giving up is never an option besides he is here to make sure his brothers loose the little dignity left in them so his attendance is not out of love or duty but rather determination to ruin those who think so highly of themselves and what better way is there than gaining their support just to reach his at most goal.

'' you are right about that brother, maybe we can get rid of her, I will surely get a personal slave either way but then we are destroying our only lead on this case, let's assume we get rid of her, where do we begin with our investigation, no lead or evidence then what? As for their worth as a maid well that is for me to know am after all the only with much needed experience with humans thanks to my time slaving myself away to human woman right my dear brother? ''

The ministers, princes, princesses including the king seems to come up with nothing as oppose to Prince Anei as far as the lead is concern let's face it who gets rid of evidence before investigation. Anei do not have to convince them about that fact on the issue of keeping as his maid well he still have to give more clarification before he can call it a day .

'' That is what I thought, no one in their right mind gets rid of evidence before investigating...''

Before he can complete what he is trying to put across, the second rudely interrupted him just to prove his point and maybe to get under his skin, everyone knows Prince Anei hate being interrupted more than anything in this world and by the smirk on the faces of the three other princes that seem to have been the intention if it means the downfall of the third Prince those three are ready to work together for that purpose.

'' hold up brother, before you celebrate, you say you can get a personal slave either way get another why the suspect unless you have a hidden agenda in regard to this human situation, maybe you can enlighten us as to why you wish to make her yours, do you have a thing for human women in particular? ''

The three of them have bright smiles on their faces even a blind can tell the human women situation is a sensitive subject for the third Prince so why not use that to humiliate him just a little even if he gets his way by end of the day. what could be his excuse for wanting a human servant, a suspect too at that.

'' like I was saying before you rudely interrupted me, she may be what we really need to solve this puzzle as for why I suggested to have her as my personal maid, I have been back for months but I have not been assigned one besides it is in our custom to make a suspect  criminal work without pay as a means of atonement for their sins and let's face who can last with a human without killing them knowing or unknowing but me or do you wish to punish her yourself brother and I can surely give you tips on how humans operate that sounds about perfect right? ''

Now with such choice of words and events the three princes knows as usual he gets exactly what he wanted since he decided to rejoin the sessions as an adult this time, the king is the only one who knows exactly who those traits belong, looking at his third son he can see his dead wife in him as clear as day.

'' so the human can serve my third son and the investigation can begin officially tomorrow, the minister of defense is in charge of the investigation and that brings us to end of the discussion of the human situation, now let's proceed with other affairs, son I will have her taken to your chambers by the time you go back there you shall have yourself a human servant. '' 

With that the session continues, discussing other affairs though the king had thought the human situation would take all day turns out Prince Anei can make decision making a lot more easier for the king than when he was absent, this feels like a dream for Anei to influence the decision of the king like today but alas it is not a dream.
