Class Two: Katerina “Kate” Moronova

624 Words
Katerina “Kate” Moronova was born into a rich family, her father is a wealthy vodka distillery owner of Russian and Swedish descent and her mother was a very accomplished novelist of Cuban and Greek descent. She has an older brother who is seven years older than her and the happy family lived in a suburban area just outside the city of Los Angeles, California. As a young child, Kate was independent despite being born into wealth and having parents who spoil her, she is very creative and would often read books in the library instead of playing with the toys that her father spoils her with on every special occasion. When she was five years old and her brother, Joseph was twelve, their mother; Rosaline had sadly passed away due to complications from an unsuccessful appendix removal. Their father was deeply heartbroken and never remarried again for he knew that his wife was his one true love. Kate hoped to find someone who will love her as much as her Papa loved her Mama. That same year, the Moronovs had new neighbors who had just moved from England, the married couple’s son, Danny was the same age as Joseph was so the pair instantly became best friends, though Kate and Danny share a love of books and writing. Though she never saw him again after he and Joseph graduated high school. When she was sixteen, she fell in love with a boy named Robert Byrne and eventually marrying him after her own high school graduation and that angered her father who disowned her up until the birth of her son, Dimitri James Byrne five years later. The first three years of Kate and Robert’s marriage was relatively happy, despite the fact that both of them were extremely busy with work and university. That changed when she was selected for an internship at Wells Publishing Incorporated’s California office in her junior year of university and made her extremely busy, causing Robert to be very unfaithful to her and sleep with different women. She stayed with him, believing that he will change back into the man she had fallen in love with when they were eighteen, and the birth of their son made him change his ways for a little while but it wasn’t enough to make him stay faithful to her. Kate has had enough when Robert’s mistress had hurt her son and Robert was nonchalant and even blamed her for the accident. She filed for divorce and the sole custody of Dimitri within a few days and reluctantly moved in with her older brother in his penthouse apartment. Kate is a beautiful woman, with soft dark blonde hair (that she had dyed brown), icy blue eyes, prominent nose, luscious lips and a fair complexion. She stood tall at 5’8” and a half, and most people would point out that she is the female version of her father. She is a loving daughter, a caring sister and a devoted mother. She is intelligent, creative, resourceful and very much independent even before her father had disowned her; although she can be a little impulsive, prideful and can have a little bit of a temper. Her failed marriage to Robert has also made her a pessimist when it comes to the topic of romance. She has a close relationship with Joseph and shares a special bond with his best friend Danny, who also dreams to become a writer. She used to have a close bond with her own father Artem, that changed when she married Robert without his knowledge or approval. She is best friends with Lila McCann, a fellow intern turned author at Wells Publishing Incorporated; she also happens to be Dimitri’s godmother
