Episode 2: New Comer

ISANA LOUISSE STELL I stretched my arms and yawned as I scurriedly walk towards the classroom. I’m still sleepy but I have to attend my morning classes ’cause later in the afternoon I need to find another part-time job. My salary in the Coffee Hub is not enough anymore to sustain my daily needs.  “You! Stop where you at!” an uninspired shout echoed around the corridor that made everyone, incuding me, stopped and look at the commotion.  It’s Marie and her bully friends.  I licked my lower lip as I watched them strutt to a girl. A nerd to be exact and I’m not surprised anymore, ’cause it’s their thing. Marie’s father is known to be a shareholder of this university so I won't wonder why tend to bully someone whose weaker than them. What a f*****g psycho’s.  I leaned my back at the nearest wall and crossed my arms to watch them. When I wander my eyes around, students were also watching Marie and her friends bully the nerd. I closed my fist ’cause it seems like no one’s gonna help the pity girl.  One of Marie’s friends was about to pour a hot coffee to the girl when I swiftly moved towards them, slightly pushing the cup using my index finger right to the bully’s face. I sheepishly smirked.  ‘That’s what bully should get.’ “Ahh! My face! It's hot...it's hot!” she shouted as her friends attended her, helping wipe her scalded face. Meanwhile, Marie turned her gaze at me furiously.  “What the heck is your problem, b***h!” I could see her teeth gritting due to madness. I shrugged confidently as I know that she can’t hurt me. I pulled the collar of the shirt of the nerdy girl and helped her stood up. “I swear, Isana. I’ll make a revenge!" Marie concluded that I am sure that’s not going to happen. I know her too well. She only know how to threaten but above all, she's nothing but a trash-a crybaby. I sighed in relieved when they were out of sight and turned my gaze to the girl whose looking at me like she’s examining me.  “Awhile ago...you moved like a...like a vampire...” I stared at her weirdly.  “Oh, yeah? You're welcome, miss.” I told her flatly but my eyes is set on something else. Her eyeglasses. It looks like a props to me and I can see clearly that her eyes looks fine.  “You don't seem to have problem with your eyes, why bother wearing it?” I asked curiously that made her expression flustered.  “Y-you knew?” she replied hesitantly. My lips protuded and nodded before turning my back at her. Leaving her alone in that spot.  ‘What a weirdo. She shouldn’t wear something like that if she doesn’t want to be the target of the bully,’ I thought. I was about to enter the room when my gaze fell into a woman running towards me. Angel Cruz-my self-proclaimed bestfriend-catching her breathe when she reached me.  “What’s up, Cruz?” I asked her and she just smirked. It’s our term of endearment. We are used to call each other by our surname.  “Pretty, still. Have you done with the activities?” she whispered as she looked around, checking if someone is looking at us. I exactly knew what she meant. I simply smiled and reach my bag to get the copies of my completed activities.  Her eyes twinkled and was about to reach the paper when I spreaded my palm to her face. Playing close and open. She raised her left fake eye brow and fished something on her pocket then revealed a thousand bill. She lazily pulled the paper from me before putting the money in my opened palm.  “Nice having business with you,” She ‘tsked’ that made me laugh.  Well, that’s my other part-time. I do activities, projects, research and etc. for those who reach me. I do not want to brag but they say I’m genius so might as well, earn from it. Thanks to these lazy students.  I took my usual seat while Cruz seated beside me. We still have 30 more minutes before the regular class starts and Cruz started talking to me nonsensely, she’s always like this. Talktative. I nearly fall asleep with her jejune stories when Jasper entered the room and came closely to me, with his right hand holding a bouquet of flowers. Everyone here is looking at him like his a famous personality. Well, he is. In this school.  ‘Another annoying came.’  I automatically rolled my eyes with the sight. Jasper Aquino is my long-time suitor and even though I kept telling him I have no time for relationship thing he’s still persistent as he is.  “Hi there, beauty” he said before placing the boquet of roses at my table. I heard Angel sneered before rolling her brown eyes. “She don’t need that piece of s**t, Jasper. She needs money not your roses." she bluntly said that made my eyes widen, suppressing my not-so-evil laugh.  ‘That’s my girl!’  Jasper pouted before scratching the back of his neck. He turned his gaze from me, seems to disregard what Angel just told her.  “Do you need money, my dear?” I covered my mouth as I tried to hide my laugh from him. Dang. He sounded like a freakin' sugar daddy!  I shrugged and stood up and guided him towards the door.  “Thanks for the roses, Jasper but I hope you won’t bother in the future.” I tapped his shoulder before pivoting him towards the door.  “But--”  “Thank you!” I cut his words before turning my back at him. I was just about to take my seat  when the bell rang. And suddenly, a cold breeze hugged my body. I shivered.  Everyone, mostly girls, gasped when a familiar figure entered the room. His masculine figure made me narrow my eyes and just when I am about to look at his eyes, an event flashed into my mind.. It’s him!  That guy in the Coffee Hub!  “What is he doing here?” I mumbled to myself as I scan him thoroughly.  He’s not wearing his three-piece suit but a white long sleeve that neatly folded up to his elbow that tugged perfectly in his black pants. He look like a different person, for me. He started to roamed his dead eyes around and when he reached my spot, I saw him smirked at me.  “Good day, I am Liberth Jackson Smith, your new mathematics instructor...”
