EPISODE 1: THE FIRST MEETING
THIRD PERSON’S POINT OF VIEW
Isana Stell slightly pushed the glass entry door of Coffee Hub and went straight to the counter. The cashier looked up into her and sweetly smiled as soon as she recognized her, she always come straight here after her classes since it's just walking distance.
“Hi, you're early today.” the cashier said as she made her way into the locker’s room.
It’s not that she is a loyal customer but she's a part-time worker here.
She quickly changed her uniform and scanned her body from a mirror. The hub’s uniform looks quite good on her. The pastel color of her polo shirt compliments her fair complexion. And her skirt is hugging up her waist that reveals her perfect curves. Isana actually like thier unifom because it is not convervative yet revealing.
“How’s school?,” Linda asked as soon as she entered the room while Isana fixes her below the shoulder-length hair. Linda is the hub’s manager that later became her friend and the only person who knows the stand of her life. She’s already 30 years old but her features says otherwise. She’s more like in her early 20’s. Linda’s height may be small but she’s pretty.
Isana is now alone in life, since her father died two years ago, leaving her only a place to live in an exclusive subdivision. The reason why people thinks she’s rich but actually, she's broke. That is why even she’s only 19 she needed to work or she’ll die in starvation. Isana has no relative left, or should she say, she had never met any relative from her father’s side. Meanwhile, she never knew her mother. She doesn’t even know if she has a mother. Her dad never talked about her. And everytime she asks about her mom, his father will hastily divert the topic. But regardless of it, she do not hate her father even now that he’s gone, she still thinks about him.
Isana sighed in desparation and weakly smiled, “Nothing unusual, it's just that first exams is coming and I have to pay my tuition right away or there’s no way I can take it. And the bills came early in the morning too! Arrgh...Linda, life is so frustrating! I don't know what to do...” she grumbled as she closed her eyes for a second before coming out of the locker room. Time for her shift. Linda, on the other hand, followed her on the counter and tapped her shoulder as a sign of comfort.
“You know how I wanted to give you a hand but--”
“It’s fine, Linda. I understand.” she said after immediately cutting Linda’s words.
“Why don’t you just sell your house? Or...or maybe transfer to a public university?” Linda suggested but she shrugged her shoulder. Isana wanted to do that but she can’t.
“No matter what, I can’t sell the house that’s the only thing I got from my dad. And as for my school, I promised dad to graduate from there.” she explained that made Linda smirked, realizing something.
“You’re not living for your dreams, eh?” Isana looked into her but didn’t speak the words in her mind. What Linda said was true, Isana is not living for her dreams but to fulfill his dead father’s wish. Up until now, she remember her father’s last words to her.
“Isana, my princess. The time has come that need to live this life but I will leave you a wish that I hope you’ll fufill,” Isana’s father said in a very weak tone.
“What is it, daddy?,” she replied trying not to crynas he held her father’s arms.
“Please, continue to live normally. Avoid danger and continue to study 'til you graduate from there.” her dying fatherrequested that made her a little confused. His only wish is to finish her studies at Noxton University?
Even she felt weird she just nodded to his father that was waiting for her answer, then he smiled.
“May the light will forever guide you to your path, my princess...”
Instead of answering Linda’s question, she quickly averted her gaze to her when she heard the chime indicating that someone has entered the hub. When she look into it she saw a man walking towards the counter. A man, probably in his mid-20’s, in his three-piece suit with a towering height that made everyone, including, set a gaze into him. He is like deity fallen from above and yet, he doesn’t even seem to be bothered with everyone in the hub’s paying attention to him. His aura is screaming elegance and power. But Isana’s eyes is only settled upon the man’s eyes. He has a pair of emerald-green eyes that captivates every woman but she saw something on it...
His eyes are dead. No spark and no glow that made Isana think he’s lifeless walking body.
‘But why is that?' her mind spoke.
“A black coffee for me,” the man's voice lingers into Isana’s ears. It's deep yet cold. Very cold but made her feel something undefinable. She blinked twice to get rid of her sudden distraction but she already lost focus and forgot the man’s order.
“E-excuse me?” she repeated but the man raised his eyebrow.
“Didn’t you heard me? You’re not paying attention to your customer, miss.” the man started to lecture her that made her furious.
‘How dare he?! If it wasn’t for his celebrity-like entrance she would have not get distracted What’s wrong with this man?!’ she cursed in her mind.
‘Okay, Isana. Calm down. Customer is always right. Remember to please them or else you’ll go home without a single penny.” her inner self talking to her.
“Can you please repeat your order, sir?,” Isana plastered her fake smile and speak with her calm her voice but the man suddenly leaned forward, making them two inch away from each other’s face. Isana could smell his minty breathe and manly scent engulfed her nose. Out of nowhere, Isana’s heart beats rapidly.
“I said, ONE. BLACK. COFFEE.” he said in her ears thay brings warmth to her body.
She got stunned for a moment when her manager spoke.
“Coming right up, sir.” Linda said before turning to her and wickedly said, “don’t get distracted with his handsomeness,”
Isana secretly rolled her eyes before punching the coffee maker and looking back to the man whose now looking at his phone. And she freely scanned him again.
“Handsome, my ass.” she wisphered.
