Chapter 7

"Who is she?". His deep voice was echoed.

Hadleigh felt her hands tremble as she heard his cold voice. Madame Julie quickly ran towards them.

"Her name is Hadleigh, I brought her here. I thought since most of the maids are old, they wouldn't be able to run around doing your duties so I decided to get you a personal maid".

Noel let go if her wrist and stared at her, no matter how hard Hadleigh tried she could not see his face because of the dim light.

She picked up the plate and dished a little, after putting the spoon in her mouth she and swallowing the food, she went back to her position without a word.

Noel picked up the spoon and placed it in his mouth, as soon as he chewed on the food flashes of his mother memories came to him. He put the spoon down and turned back to Hadleigh who was standing quietly beside Kourtney.

David noticed his boss wasn't listening to him because though he. couldn't see his boss's face, he knew he wasn't listening because he wasn't reply him and he wasn't even eating his dinner anymore.

"Big boss can you hear me".

Noel turned back to his food and took two more spoons before getting up to leave. David stood up left with him.

They had gotten half way up the stairs when Noel stopped.

"Brief her and bring her upstairs".

"Yes boss". Madame Julie replied.

Hadleigh turned to look at Kourtney who smiling brightly.

"You got the job. Come on let have dinner".

"What about the rest of the pan fry?".

"Hmm, I'm sorry but it goes to waste".

"What???. Why".

"Well, cause no one shares dinner with the boss. Not even breakfast or lunch".

"Wow". That was the only thing Hadleigh had to say. She was continuously amazed by the people and the mentally in the house.

After dinner Kourtney and madame Julie took Hadleigh to one of the rooms in the maid quarters, while Kourtney did the briefing.

Hadleigh sat on the bed along with madame Julie while Kourtney stood before them. The maid quarters was a luxurious part of the house too.

Each of the rooms looked like those in a 5 star hotel. It had all the necessities, and the bed was way softer and more comfortable than the one in Hadleigh's home. She wished she had stayed here all her life.

"So here are some of the rules. You listen to the boss and do whatever he wants don't do more don't do less. You cook only whatever is on the menu, don't ask personal questions. Big boss bathes only luke warm water. You must never keep the boss waiting, his breakfast time is 7:15am, lunch 12:45 pm and dinner 6:15pm, yes, the boss also have his after gym or late night snacks at 9:00pm and his bed time is 10:00 pm sharp".

Kourtney put her hand on her chin as if trying to remember something.

"How could I forget, don't look big boss in the eyes. Oh and yes, you have to be there when the boss falls asleep and when he wakes up, that means your alarm clock should be set for 5 am".

5 am, how can I wake up by that time, its too early. Hadleigh thought to herself.

"Ok get going before the boss gets angry". Kourtney pushed Hadleigh to the door.

"Wait a second". Madame Julie said walking up to the girls.

"You can't use your phone around here for safety reasons, you have to turn it in".

"Wait really, what will I be doing when the boss is busy with something personal?".

Madame Julie raised her shoulder as she extended her hand out to Hadleigh. "You'll figure it out".

Hadleigh was not so worried about contacting Mr Tran now she would just use this excuse.

"Best of luck girlfriend, you'll need it, brother could be a tough one sometimes".

"Brother??".

"Sorry that's just what I call him at times. Remember you have to read to brother to help him fall asleep. Good luck again".

"Yeah, thanks".

Kourtney closed the door and Hadleigh headed to Noel's room.

"So many rules for one person, he better be worth it". She thought to herself.
