“I’ll miss you,” Ben mumbles into my shoulder.
I chuckle and kiss his head. “I’m only gonna be gone a couple of days.”
“I know, but it’s been ages since we spent time together.”
I sigh and hold Ben closer to me for a moment. When he returned from his walk with Brooke, Ben came straight to find me. We sat down and talked for a while, but it wasn’t long enough. However, Rain and I can’t put off returning to Blue Fire any longer; Mark is waiting for us.
I take Ben’s face between my hands and kiss his forehead. “As soon as I return, you and I will do something together, just the two of us.”
“Fishing?” He asks hopefully.
I nod my head with a laugh. “Anything you want, little brother.”
“It was good to meet you, Rain. Welcome to the family.”
