Jin was taken to the hospital—in hope that he'll be save, but I knew too well that he can't be saved anymore, and my heart twinged in pain at the thought of Jin being murdered when I literally just talked to him yesterday.
Seokjin—Why did they murder him? Who would dare kill such an angel?
Tears fell down on my cheeks once again, feeling the agonising pain with my heart shattering into a million of pieces.
"Are you okay?" A deep voice asked as I looked above to see a black haired man who stared at me, worriedly. He bend on his knees to meet my level as he grabbed my shoulders without me being prepared before pulling me into a tight embrace.
Instead of fighting back, I just melt myself in his arms, gripping on his seemed like expensive shirt as I cried on it but he didn't bother. He pat my back as he hushed a few words for comfort.
"Everything will be alright." he cooed ever softly, giving a gentle pat on my back. "I know you didn't do it."
"It's just—" I choked my sobs, panting heavily. "Why did Jin—"
No word came out from my mouth as I was dumbfounded, flabbergasted, speechless and overwhelmed by what was happening today. It's still morning and all I got was the new of Jin's death.
Yesterday, he was just all being giddy about having a crush at this girl, and how his mother forced him to ask her out but he was too afraid that the girl he likes might reject her. Seokjin has always been optimistic but also pessimistic in a way that he keeps over thinking about a certain situation.
Even the image of his pouty smile appeared in my mind making my heart felt a pang of guilt. And something hit me that made my lips trembled and eyes blurry as I clutched my chest, feeling the tightness inside.
His mother—God—Jin always mentioned his mother to me.
He always talked about how it was hard for them to live knowing his son has to rent in a small apartment in Seoul—hence that's why Jin worked overnight just to pay his rent. He even cried at the thought of his mother doing strenous labors despite being old already just to pay off his son's tuition.
And that's when it hit me again, another bundle of tears burst out from eyes.
My God, how devastated would his mother be when she finds out about his only son being murdered? What would be her reaction knowing the only person left by her side is now on his deathbed?
His mother did a back breaking job just to support his son, just as what mothers do for their child and their dreams.
His dreams—The dream of becoming an idol while his mother watching him on Television has gone wasted and all just drained out, all because of his death. He cannot even achieve his dreams anymore.
Even if Seokjin wasn't able to do any of that, he'd atleast be a Chef at a small restaurant, get married, have a simple life with his wife and children—even support them with their dreams, just like what his mother did to him.
He just wanted that but it's all gone now that he's lying lifeless.
A lump formed in my throat as I pulled away from the embrace, avoiding his gaze and sniffled, realizing thag I just embarassed myself.
"Who are you?" I asked, quickly wiping the tears off my eyes and glanced at my hands to see it had black contents on it.
Shit. My mascara.
"I am Kim Taehyung," he said with a small smile. "And I am the son of the owner who ran the coffee shop you and Jin worked in."
"You are—" he nodded, lifting something up making me back away. But he just gripped my shoulders, preventing me to move before he used the handkerchief to wipe the mascara away.
"Father called me that there's a murder scene near the coffee shop, and the victim is one of our employees." He pulled away, looking directly into my eyes. "I panicked at the thought when I realized only you and Jin hyung are the employees there."
I gulped down, leaning back as he was getting near my face. He whispered. "Do you know how scared I was?"
"Pardon?"
"We should close the shop..." he trailed off, changing the topic as he lowered his gaze, and sighed before pulling himself back, standing up.
"But—"
"You should rest." He cut me off. "I talked to the Detective awhile ago. He said that you'll most likely be the suspect and be interviewed."
The idea of being one of the suspects gave goosebumps all over my body.
"But I'm pretty sure they'll just ask you questions since you must've been in the house last night and have an alibi." He sighed making me nod, my lips and eyes quiver as I looked at him.
"Don't worry, Noona." He reassured me with his boxy smile, offering his hand to help me stand up. "I'm sure Dad will understand."

At the end of the day, I stood up in front of my best friend's house as tears continue to wail down my eyes. I stared at the door, waiting for her open the door. Gladly, my aunt allowed me to stay for the night in Aleyna's house since they knew each other as well.
Aleyna opened the door, eyes widened to see the state I was becoming, and quickly helped me inside.
The day flows with Aleyna comforting me that everything will be alright, and somehow there's people who will live and leave. It took us around 2 hours to comfort me.
My eyes was swollen and red along with my cheeks puffed and red thinking about Jin, his mother and his dreams. I sniffed, crunching my nose.
Jin was still young, just being a 26 years old single man, and one who works at a small café.
My bestfriend ended up her cooking for us while I waited for her—feeling empty and lifeless at the loss of friend. We ended up having a movie marathon, and I stood up from the chair, preparing the movie and blankets before hearing a soft ddaeng, making me smile.
"An update..." I mumbled, silently before walking towards my phone. I grabbed my phone, unlocking to see the notification I needed.
It was one of the reason for me to smile.
Mr. Chim's updates.
