CHAPTER EIGHTEEN

An awkward silence erupted the two of us as we walked down the street on the way to my house—just like any typical movie where the boy would ask the girl to go with her. Jimin said he would like to walk me to my house which I find embarrassing after that hug we just did awhile ago. I'm honestly embarrassed to death that I couldn't even face him nor he could face me. He probably think I’m weird or he could've weirded out by me already in which that would be the last thing I would do. I mentally face palmed myself, and wanted to slap the life out of me because of what I did. A chuckle escaped from Jimin's left making me stiffened, and stopped my tracks. I didn't dare look in the eyes of Jimin as he walked forward and faced me. "Hey," He chuckled with that eye-smile. "There's no need to be embarrassed about it." I was contemplating from this very moment if I should stay still or have myself buried six feet under the ground. I'd choose the second option. I cleared my throat, tugging my bottom lips between my teeth before finally managing to look at him in the eyes. "I—Uh, I'm sorry about that." I stuttered, blinking twice to see any reaction but he just gave me that sweet smile he has with his eyes almost close. "I love it." he directly said making me cough slightly and choke on my saliva before looking at him again "You can hug me anytime or say you miss me. I don't care because I love doing those things with you." He added with a warm smile. "There's not a single time I didn't think about being this close with you." My eyes widened with my jaw hanging down and lips parted a little bit as soon as I heard those words coming out from his lips. "Can I take you out on a date then?" I swore I almost lost my physical strength this time, feeling my legs feeble, weak and feeling my whole body goes numb. Did I heard that right? "Are you okay, Jihyo?" Jimin asked, taking a step forward, holding unto my arms but I quickly stepped away and raising my hands to signal him that I'm fine. "Just what did you say?" I choked out, shivers shot up to my spine. Having another date with Jimin? I don't mind really. But why do I feel like everything that happened between us is going too fast? "I said," He paused, a tint of blush appeared on his cheeks. Even under with the dim light of the street lights, and the darkness of the night sky, It's still visible from where I am. "Will you go on a date with me?" He nervously asked, fiddling with his fingers as I blinked my eyes twice. "So we could end up in the jail again?" "No!" He squeaked, eyes almost bulging out of the socket. His eyes locked with me making him blushed furiously and quickly look down. How could this man be so cute? "Like an actual and real date." I raised an eyebrow, eyeing him suspiciously. "I swear I won't f**k up this time!" He immediately said, shaking his head repeatedly making me laugh. "Alright." I stopped laughing, and smiled, nodding. "Really?!" He squealed, but halt and straightened his poisture. "I mean, really?" "Yes." I warmly smiled. "But can I ask you something?" "What is it?" "Aren't you a pastor?" I asked, confused. He froze. "I am—we're allowed to date though. Anyways, it's fine since we're out of the convent for a month, remember?" "Really?" Jimin nodded, cracking a small smile. "Alright then." I nervously laughed, biting my lips. "Go on." He smiled and I nodded before marching towards the door. I'm not going to be that cliché character movie where they would go back and forth on saying 'go on' and all. Biting my lips again, I turned around, glancing at Jimin behind before slightly waving at him. He waved back with a smile before I stormed inside the house, chest heaving up and down, feeling my heart race down to miles. I took a deep breath, before wearing my shoes off. "I'm home!" My brows furrowed, confused as to why no one's here yet. I walked towards the kitchen, narrowed my eyes when I saw a little note glued on the refrigerator, and grabbed it. "Jonathan and your uncle are off to this father and son trip for their school. I'll be staying at my friend's house also. PS: you have the house for the whole week. -Your beautiful aunt" Did she took my advice of leaving the house too? A giggle escaped my lips before crumpling the paper and threw it on the trashcan. ______________________________ Morning came, I went to work and trying to forget about Seokjin's case for awhile. "You can do it," I breathed in, closing my eyes tightly and clearing my mind. I inhaled sharply, entering the shop to see Taehyung who was at the cashier with wide eyes while Jungkook was preparing a coffee for the costumer. "Noona, you're here?" He asked, approaching me. With a blunt reply, "Should I not be here?" "It's nothing like that!" Taehyung squeaked, shaking his head "Why is Jungkook here? I thought he'll cover the night shift?" I huffed, passing beside him. I didn't want to mention Seokjin right now. "I forgot to inform you that Dad said that there won't be any night shift as of the moment to avoid any problems or anything. So you and Jungkook will cover the morning shift together." "You won't work here?" Taehyung chuckled and shook his head. "No Noona, I was here temporarily to help with Jungkookie and you." "Alright." I nodded, wearing my apron that was hanging near the counter. "I have to go now." Taehyung said, taking off his apron as he put it over the counter. I grabbed it and hid it under. I watched as Taehyung darted his way out of the coffee shop leaving me and Jungkook. I sighed, picking the towel before going to the uncleaned tables with no costumer and started cleaning. "Noona?" I hummed in response, looking at him placing the tray on the counter. I walked towards the counter to grab the tray that Jungkook prepared but he stopped me. "I will be the one to serve this, but can I ask you something, Noona?" He asked, gripping the tray instead. I nodded. "Can you print something for me, Noona?" Jungkook said, passing me a flash drive over the counter. "There's only one file there so It won't be hard for you." "Sure." I replied, receiving the flash drive before making my way towards the room where the printer and other stuff were positioned. I opened the laptop, inserting the flash drive and waited for it to load. I clicked the only file and opened it, clicking the word print. I closed the Microsoft word after the paper is printed and turned the laptop off before standing up, grabbing the paper on the printer—not bothering to turn it off since it'll be off later on. The sounds of the printer made me halt and inhaled sharply. My eyes widened and lips quiver, looking over my shoulder to see that the printer was working again. I shook my head, removing the scary idea as my heart quickened in pace before turning around and approached the printer. "I must've double printed it." I muttered under my breath and waited for the paper to print out, and when it did, my eyebrows furrowed, baffled by the big words written on it. As I read the lines, goosebumps formed on my skin and shivers shoot down to my spine with my heart palpating quickly. STAY AWAY FROM HIM. - Mr. C My heart dropped to my stomach and lips parted as I stumbled down on the floor without bothering that Jungkook's paper is now being crumpled.
