15 AMONG the letters waiting for Edmund Meredith at his chambers on Monday morning was one from a firm of solicitors at Oldbury. It was as follows: Dear Sir, —We understand that you have been making certain inquiries at Bearstead Manor, and that you have had an interview with its owner, Mr. Raphael Gomez. We are instructed to inform you that if you can make it convenient to call at this office by appointment at an early date we shall be in a position to give you additional information which you may consider important. —Yours faithfully, Longworth and Wilson, p.p.
