Chapter Three First-Person: Shreya For the first month or so, our relationship remained exactly what I had outlined to him in our two interviews. I had indicated the work he was expected to do around the house and he, as unused to such domestic tasks as he was and obviously more than a little embarrassed to be tackling them on behalf of a younger woman from my part of the world, carried them out to the best of his ability, and in a way that I considered boded well for our lives going forward.
