Chapter 17 Roots

-Angel's view point-

I got to the karaoke bar and Kimi and Natsuo were standing up front. Kimi holding on to Natsuo's hand, still crying.

I guess he found him, a new toy. I shook my head trying to get rid of the bad thought. "Do you know which way they took her?" I asked, trying to stay calm. Both of them shook their heads. Fuuuuuck.

I was about to go off the deep end, and start panicking, but Natsuo said something. "I know the man said something about a LoreBall. I have no idea what that is but he said she needs to sing there."

My heart stopped, and I placed a hand on my face and slowly dragged it down. "It's a ball for the ones that fight the council, and I guess he took her it." I growled. At least I had a start.

" Angelo do you even know where it is?" Natsuo asked. I could tell he was worried but  was more worried about the girl in front of him.

I bit my lip. "Sadly yes." I flapped my wings and took off the deserted part of town. I all knew too well where they love having the ball. A club called The Lion's Den.

I took off as fast as I could but they didn't start anything until the dead of night and it was only 9pm. I had to twiddle my thumbs until at least 2 hours.

I sat in my room, doing my make up trying to make sure I looked completely different then normal. There was a knock at my door "come in!" I shouted.

Ash came in. "Sorry little miss the best I got for you is blue but I'm sure you would look extravagant in it." I looked over to him, and smiled.

"Okay, I put it on then I should be ready to go!" I cheered. "Thank you sir Ash."

He smiled and bowed his head and then closed the door behind him.  I walked over to where he sat the wig and put it on. I did a waterfall braid on it and started adding the accessories. I walked down stairs and the boys all looked at me like I was nothing more than a dream.

"Do I look like myself?" All of them shook their heads. "Okay can you guys call me Black Ice."

"Black Ice" they all said at the same time. I couldn't help but to giggle. Zane walked over to me and smiled devilishly.

"The way you look I'm sure we would have numerous people joining the LORE." He let out an evil laugh.

"Well I'm in your care gentlemen." I turned and smiled at them all doing a small curtsy.

-Angel's view-

I changed my outfit to match the people here so I wouldn't stand out. I made my way in when no one was looking, it was over crowded and it smelt like an ashtray and booze. I scanned around trying to see if I could find Fae but no luck.

"Let's get this ball rolling!!!!" Someone was standing on the stage, I wasn't sure who it was. "but first let me introduce our lovely singer tonight Black Ice."

My eyes widened. That was the name that she and Natsuo used for that one night. But the person that came out didn't even look like her. I scuffed thinking how would this chick come up with that name.

I started trying to make my way to the bar and the music started. Once she started singing I wiped my head around it. It was Fae. Oh my God kid what did they do to you?!

She started to scream the next lines as her wings popped open. She almost looked like a villain from a fairy tail. My heart stopped as much as I hated to admit it. She looked sexy.

The song, when I finally picked up the words, she was singing about all of us. Natsuo, Kimi, and even me. She was that pissed off?

After she finished the song I tried to make my way to the stage to see if I can even get her to talk to me. But before I could even make it half way there was an explosion coming from the front doors. Being blown off their hinges. People stared for a moment while the government hero's were making their way in.

Everyone started to scatter, running each other over or trying to fight the council. I need to find Fae before they do! I started to run to the stage when I saw her run to the back stage.

-Fae's view-

I started running trying to get away from people scattering. I pulled the wig off and was trying to pull the accessories off, and then trying to make sure my dress was able to get out of the way while I ran. I kept my wings closed for being stuck indoors wasn't going to do much good.

I made it to my dressing room and ran inside locking the door. I could hear people screaming and yelling. I quickly turned off the lights and went to hide behind the couch. I wasn't even sure what to do. My mind was racing, I wanted to cry.

The room started to drop in temperature, and frost formed over the walls. I started to shiver in fear. The sounds faded and I peeked over the back of the couch when I heard someone try to jiggle the door open. I quickly ducked back down covering my nose and mouth with my hand trying to make sure I didn't make a sound.

Thump.. THump. THUMP! the door swung open and I held my breath. My heart was beating like crazy and if they were listening really close they would have heard it.

"Aww I don't think in one is in here, Theo, come on let's go." A gruff voice said. The room went quiet, and I heard footsteps start to leave. I waited a few seconds but then someone grabbed my foot. I screamed trying to kick him off of me.

"Reno I found her!" Theo yelled. He licked his lips. The other man came running back in and grabbed my arms.

"No get off of me!!!! My eyes started to frost over and the room started to freeze. The men's breath was starting to get frosty. But they smiled.

"Come on Theo we have to get her to the car."

"Yeah yeah, but they didn't say I couldn't have any fun with her. " He smiled and leaned down.

I felt something slapped my wrist together. They looked like handcuffs. My eyes widened, I tried to use my ice to stop them but nothing was working.

"Heh so they did work!" Reno laughed.

Theo started to let his hands go wild on my body, trying to kick him again trying to squirm away. He grabbed my chin and squished my cheeks in. "Look at this pretty little fairy. No one's gonna save you. We made sure of that."

My eyes widen. "What do you mean?" I asked, scared.  Reno pulled out the father's ring that he wore for the Yukino family. My heart stopped and my body went limp. Tears rolled down my face.

Theo went to lean down to lick my cheek, I turned and bit his lip as hard as I could pulling a chunk of his flesh off.

"You f*****g bitch." He slapped me with enough force that everything was starting to turn black.
