Chapter 9 Your Name

-Yukino's view point-

I was laying in a hospital bed, because Sir Angelo told the doctor to take care of me while they also took my father into another part of the hospital. The thought of losing my father made everything inside me empty. That means I would be the only one left, I'll be all alone.

I raised my hand up over my face studying it. Wrapped up tightly in badges I still see little specks of blood from my cuts. I started to zone out.

"Hey Kid, how are you holding?" I looked away from hand and saw Sir Angelo walking in. I couldn't even smile at him, like I normally did. I slowly put my hand down and sat up.

"Sooooo, did you know that girl?" He asked me to look down at the sheets covering my legs. I gently shook my head.

"No, I don't." I whispered my voice was scratching and of course.

"Well I guess we got one thing from it, your amen at least. " I slowly looked up to him with water eyes. "Yukino Fae, daughter of Yuri and Akita Yukino." His voice seemed happy like he was playing detective and got a clue.

I smiled. "My name is Fae. I do remember some stuff now." I whispered. My smile disappeared. "Sir Angelo, is my father okay?" He looked at me and gave me a closed eye, smile.

"Yeah he's fine! Though sadly he did lose his wings, the doctors say he is gonna make a full recovery!" I sighed in relief, and then smiled.

"Thank you sir Angelo, for everything."

He walked over to me and gave me a hug, "No need to thank me kid, just doing my job as a hero." I hugged him back gently.

-Angel's view point-

I hugged Fae tightly. I had to lie about her father, at the moment. He was in critical condition and I didn't want to worry her. I bit my bottom lip as I took in her scent of fresh rain. I let out a long sigh. "Hey kid I got to go do some stuff so please be good and do what the doctors okay. " I slowly let her go, and patted her head. Her eyes still a bit lifeless, but I had to get stuff done.

I walked out of the room and closed the door. I left out a long sigh. "Damn kid, what is going on?" I placed my hand on my face and then ran it through my hair. I sent a feather in the room, and started walking away.

"Ah, Angelo good thing you're here you wanted a status update on Yukino Akita? " A doctor asked.

I nodded. "How is he doc? " The doctor folded his arms.

"Well not bad but not good. As you know his wings are gone, and his body does have some broken bones. Sadly his body put itself in a coma to heal, so I'm not sure when he will wake up. " The doctor raised his hand and pinched the bridge of his nose. "So we won't be able to talk to him until he wakes up."

The doctor sighed and dropped his arms. I nodded my head and smiled. "Thanks doc. I got something to do so can you keep a watchful eye on both of them for me. "

He nodded and smiled. "Of course."

I started to walk down the hall. When I could feel like my feather was being messed with. It sent a shiver down my spine. "Come on kid that tickles." I chuckled.

I finally made it to the roof, a gentle breeze blowing my hair around. I stretched my arms out and then my wings. I need to fly to my agency, to do some digging as well as checking on my sidekicks.

I wasn't really to be bothered by questions when I had one thing on my mind. But I know that, Tokoyami, would be doing what Fae does. "Sir, Angelo." I laughed. I shook my head and jumped off the building and started heading to the agency.

"Sir Angelo?" A familiar voice piped up. I turned and saw the raven winged boy, Toyami.

"Heeeeeeeey!" I smiled. He walked up to me.

"You alright sir?" I sighed and slouched. 'and here we go again. It's either her or him.' I thought.

"Yeah I just wanted to check up on you guys that's all." I only partially lied but still it was nice to see him.

"That's great news sir, we heard about the fire and tried to help but you seemed like you were preoccupied with your own problems." I put my hand behind my head and scratched my neck.

"Yeah I kinda did." I shrugged it off. "Hey do me a favor I need to do some work and I don't want anyone bothering for a bit, can you keep the pest at bay?" I said in all seriousness.

Toyami nodded. "Yes sir!" I smiled.

"Thanks fellow birdo!" I started heading to the elevators and made my way to the top floor and went straight into my office.

I plopped in my chair and got on to my computer, looking up Yukino's family's name. I was finally able to sit down and do my homework, without interruptions.

A list of the family came up

Yuri Yukino -quirk ice women

Akita Yukino -quirk dragonfly

Fae Yukino - quirk ???

I bit the inside of my cheek, 'well this is interesting.' I thought. I clicked on Fae's name.

Quirk is not fully registered, only known to have wings as birth. 

'So her parents didn't get her registered. I guess I could understand why if they lived up in the mountains.' I picked up a pen and started to nibble on the clicker part of it as I was typing. Well there isn't much information on Fae, so let's check out her mother.

When I clicked on it. A screen popped up. Access denied. I sat up "whoa oh, interesting." I spoke out loud. I started putting a password into it that I know the government has given me for purposes. And finally I got all the information I needed.

Yukino Yuri 

Quirk: ice women

Codename: Black Ice

Worked as a hero, for top secret missions for the Japanese Hero agency. She was known to go into other countries and bring down threats to the government. But she failed one mission, to marry and produce offspring to Enji Sato.

My eyes widen, "what the f**k?!" I dropped the pen from my mouth and it landed on the desk with a click.

Since she denied the marriage offer she was treated as a trader and was on the run. Years have past and we learned she had gotten, Married to a Foreigner and had a child. We followed her. We set up a trap, to kill the family by using the neighboring family, the Tetsu, who were a family of dragon-like quirks. Sadly the family fought against one another and Yuri used her powers to seal the last child into a cave. We couldn't get to the child no matter what we used the ice would not melt.

We went with plan B, just to kill Yuri and take her daughter. We hired a hitman to do a hit and run with them and succeeded in killing Yuri with her daughter still alive. We were coming to take the child in and make her run the course of the child hero training program.

But when we got the location to take her, Akita took her and fled. We sent out search parties but could never find him, nor the girl.

I leaned back in my seat with my mouth wide open. I was flabbergasted by all this. Yuri was a spy, for us. And yet she wanted to be free and they slapped the label of trader on her and killed her.

I leaned my head back and looked up to the ceiling. Her father took her out of Japan long enough for them to give up the search and came back. No wonder he said his family doesn't live anywhere near Japan. But the question is why did he even bring her back?

I closed my eyes trying to think, and then they shot open. "Oh no Fae!" I jumped up out of my seat and started running out my door and to the elevators.
