Chapter 10 Tears Don't Fall

-Fae's view point-

I hear Angelo and a doctor talk outside my room, even though it was muffled I could make out that my father was in critical condition.

Tears finally roll down my face, everything hitting me all at once. The mental and physical pain was too much.

I heard a knock on my door, but couldn't get any words out. When the door started to crack open I saw a snow white flower, followed by a white hair person. It was Natsuo.

He walked in and closed the door behind him. "Hey Yukino!" He cheered with a closed eye smile. I looked down trying to hide my soaked face, from his sight with my hair.

"I came to see if you're alright I even brought you a flower that kinda reminded me of you. " He sat it on the end table next to me and was standing at the side of the bed. I could feel his hand on my back and was rubbing it trying to be gentle. "You okay Yuki-" I finally lost my composure and started sobbing.

"Hey! You okay" I looked up at him, tears staining my face, and my mouth slightly opened. I wanted to scream, I wanted to let my emotions out.

Natsuo lend down and hugged me tightly, letting me bury my face into his shoulder. "Shhhh, it's okay, let it out. I'm here. Let it out, shhhh." He kept whispering. Finally I gripped his shirt on his chest and wailed into him.

I could feel the room drop temperature and so did he, lucky for him he could control ice as well so it didn't bother him. The walls started to grow frost on them.

I felt him hug me even tighter, and try to make me feel safe. After some time, and my voice was finally gone he slowly let go to see my face. "Hey Yukino?" He asked gently. I looked up to him with red puffy eyes.

"Call me Fae, Natsuo." I stuttered. At first he was shocked and then smiled.

"Fae Yukino." It sounded like it rolled off his tongue. "Snow Fairy." He whispered. It made me smile that he knew Fae was since it wasn't a Japanese name.

He smiled down at me. "Hey are you hungry I can see about getting you out and about. I bumped into the doctor and he said he would look the other way if take you to the café next door." I slowly smiled and nodded.

He stood up and held his hand out to me. I gently grasped it, swinging my legs over the bed to stand. At first I was a little wobbly but my legs finally remembered what to do.

I kept a hold of Natsuo's hand as I took my first step. I was in a long white hospital gown that was opened in the back to let my wings be free.

"Oh yeah I never got to say this Fae, but I'm in love with your wings that are so pretty." I looked at Natsuo's face and there was a slight shade of pink in them. I couldn't help but to smile.

"Nats." His eyes narrowed a little.

"Well never heard that one before." I stopped and looked at him.

"Bad nickname?" He looked down.

"Well, it sounds like you're calling me a gnat." I started to giggle, and waved my free hand to cover my mouth.

"Sorry, I didn't think of that."

He smiled down at me. "You laugh I win!"

I slowly ended my giggle. "You win?" I asked. He smiled back.

"Yeah! I won this date that we are going on now." I was confused.

"Huh?" He smiled at me.

"I was trying to make you laugh okay, so don't worry about it." I slowly nodded and agreed.

-Angel's view point-

I finally flew out of the building, TSK I clicked my tongue in annoyance. I was mentally kicking myself for leaving her alone but now that she knows her name the government might try and take her, or worse kill her.

I could feel vibrations through my feather but couldn't make out anything being said. I just thought it was the doctor talking to her so I didn't thinking of it until it went quite. I didn't even feel her heartbeat. My eyes widen, and fear took over. I flew as fast as I could to the hospital.

I got to the front door and ran all the way up stairs to her room and swung the door open. "FAE!?" I shouted but no one was even in the room. "Damnit!" I got a quick look inside the room, it was damp like she frosted the room and there was snow orchid sitting beside her bed.

"Did they already find her?" I was about to be in a panic until a nurse was walking by. "Excuse me nurse?" She looked up from her clipboard.

"Yes?" I pointed at the door.

"Did she get moved?" I was trying to stay calm. She looked at the door and then down at her clipboard.

"It doesn't say she moved." She let out. "Though I did see her with a young man about her age, walking about. He had white hair and was very polite." She smiled.

I pulled my hand to my chin trying to think of anyone who that be. "Natsuo?" I said out loud.

"yeah that's the name. Sato Natsuo!" She smiled.

"Well at least I know she's safe.

Dark thoughts clouded my mind. 'Wait does Enji even remember Yuri. Granted they must have be pre teens when they were offered. But still. Does he even know about Fae. Now thinking about it he said the night before that would would be perfect for Natsuo. Though I'm sure if Damon was still alive he would have shoved her with him.'

"Sir Angelo?" The nurse pulled me back to reality.

"Sorry I was just thinking." She gave me a smile.

"I'm sure they will turn up soon!" I nodded my head.

"Yeah he's a good kid." I smiled and waved while walking away.

'I mean, since I'm close to the family I'm sure Natsuo wouldn't do anything at least I don't think he would. He's just a big softy.' I was walking around and couldn't find her. I step outside thinking maybe they were getting some fresh air.

I stood there trying to figure out when I saw a white glimmer of silver hair shining through a window.

Natsuo had taken Fae to the café next door. I let out a relieved sigh, and my body relaxed and my wings dropped.

I looked back up and it looked like Fae was smiling, but what took me off surprise was he reached over the table and was touching her cheek. My heart felt like it just stopped. "No. Please don't do this to me." I whispered under my breath.

I watched as she first smiled and then swatted at him playfully. I couldn't quite make out what they were saying other than he was throwing out compliments. I put my hands in my pockets. There was nothing I could do, I looked down and clenched my fist in my pockets.

I looked up one last time, and I regretted it. Natsuo pulled her into a kiss. My heart stopped, and my body turned cold. I swung my head away and was about to walk back to her room when I saw him pull back her body was frozen like a statue. She wasn't expecting it.

Her eyes full of fear, but soften with a smile of nervousness. She looked away and pulled a lock of her hair behind her ear. Her eyes looked out the window and saw me.

Her body froze like she was asking how long I was there. She jumped from her seat and started running. My eyes watched her until she ran outside and wrapped her arms around my neck hugging me.

I was still a little heart broken from the sight from earlier but her scent of fresh rain reminded me she was still here. "Sir Angelo!" Her voice was almost a whisper.

"Hey kid." I said softly as I wrapped my arms around her waist.

"I'm sorry I should have left a note that I was gonna eat with Natsuo." She said as she was starting to pull away.

I hugged her tighter, not wanting to let her go. "It's, it's fine kid." I tried to hide my emotions from her. She tried to pull away so she could see my face but I wouldn't let her budge. I was afraid that if I even let up an ounce she would somehow be wisped away from me.

"Sir Angelo?" She whispered.

I slowly let her go though my face was happy my eyes betrayed me. She gently touched my cheek.

"What's wrong, Angelo? I'm okay." She was smiling trying her damn hardest to make me feel better.

I was afraid the government might learn that she is still alive, and I didn't want her to be with Natsuo. Even if he is a friend I didn't want to share her with him. I felt envy in my heart that even kissed her, let alone took her first kiss.

"Oh hey Angelo!" Natsuo shouted coming out to see where Fae ran off to. "I was just treating Fae to some fresh air and some food." He didn't know how I felt for her. Far as he knows I just take care of her, that's if his father told him.

"Hey there kiddo!" I smiled trying to hide everything.

I looked back at Fae. "Shouldn't we head back I'm sure the doctors got some news for us." I spoke while grabbing her hand. She nodded and smiled at me. Her icy blue eyes were full of life, and happiness when she looked at me.

"Okay." She smiled.

-Fae's view point-

I walked behind Angelo still holding his hand. My head down trying to wrap around of everything that just happened. I gently touched my lips, and my eyes widen. 'did sir Angelo see that?!' I was screaming in my head.

"Hey kid you doing okay back there?" I heard his voice and looked up. He gave me the warm smile like he always does. I shook my head trying to make the bad thoughts go away, and looked up to him and smiled.

His golden eyes felt like they were trying to study me and I felt small in his gaze. "Yeah! I'm okay, Sir Angelo!" I smiled. Natsuo was walking beside me with his hands in his pockets looking like he felt guilty.

"Hey I'm gonna go ahead and head home, I'm sure Fuyumi is getting ready to come home and start dinner. " I turned and looked at Natsuo, and smiled at him.

"Oh okay! Thank you for the flower and for taking me on a walk." He smiled at me and went to scratch the back of his neck.

"Hey no probs! If you need anything just know I'm just a text away Fae!" I smiled and nodded. He waved his hand and off he went.

I looked back at Angelo and he looked down at me. "He's a really good kid, a big softy but still a good kid." I chuckled a little.

"Yeah he is a sweetheart." I smiled.

We made it back to the hospital room and Angelo sat in the chair beside the bed. "Hey, ummmm. When you get discharged let me take you out for dinner." I tilt my head.

"Umm sure but we can just eat at home can't we, so there's no need-" he cut me off by kissing my forehead. My eyes widen and I froze. Two people kissing in one day.

Once he broke the kiss, he cupped my cheeks and placed his forehead on mine. "Look baby bird I really care about you and I worry about you. So please let me take care of you the best I can." His voice was sincere and full of warmth. I fluttered my eyes closed and smiled.

I could smell his aftershave since he was so close to me. "Okay, I trust you Angelo. You and Natsuo are the only friends I have." I smiled. Though after I said that I felt his body stiffen a little and he pulled back.

He looked down at me with a smile but I could tell what I said hurt him, but I wasn't sure why. I loved him, but I wasn't sure if he felt the same. He never showed me that he felt the same. The only thing he showed me was what you show friends that you care about.

"Yeah Kid, you always will have me." He spoke softly.
