Chapter 22; Secret weapon

“Lilly, wake up, we got a situation” Stefan knocked on my door just as I was walking out of the shower. “I’m awake, if you open your ears you would’ve known that” I grumbled walking into my closet to pick out an outfit for the day.

Once I was ready I walked out of my room bumping into Damon and Stefan as I did. “So what happened?” I asked as we walked towards the stairs. “Isobel turned up at the Gilberts home last night” Stefan explained making me chuckle knowing for a fact that, that didn’t go down too well with Jenna. “Wait, what?” Damon stared at our little brother.

“Isobel just showed up at their doorstep” Stef explained as we walked downstairs. “What she doing here?” Damon asked confused. “I don’t know, I’m gonna go find out”

“I don’t think that you should tell her that I’m here” Katherine spoke as we stepped off the last step. “What? Why?” Stef asked confused. “It’s better if she and John not know that I stayed in town after I got out of the tomb” Katherine spoke looking at the 3 of us, I snorted crossing my arms across my chest. “You’re the one in cahoots with them, you made a deal with John that almost got Damon killed” I snapped glaring at her.

I guess she thought I’d forget the fact that she gave the dagger to John to give us so she could kill Damon off, they forgot to leave the tiny detail out that if a vampire used the silver dagger they would die, the b***h is lucky that I’m still letting her live under the roof after she pulled a fast one on us, planning to get Damon to kill Elijah so the compulsion could wear off and she would be free from the tomb and Elijah’s compulsion.

“I did what I had to do to get out of the tomb, now I’m reconsidering my alliance” Katherine shrugged bringing me out of my thoughts. “What do you know?” Stefan spoke staring her down hoping she’d spill all her secrets but I knew it wouldn’t work. “I know that I want Klaus dead, which puts me squarely on team you, besides if you 3 ever need me to swap places with Elena again, the less people know that I’m here the better. Think about it, Stefan, come on, be smart” She smiled at him while I rolled my eyes.

“Tell you what, why don’t you take your skanky arse out of my house” I snapped glaring at her before looking over at Stefan. “You go find out what the hell Isobel is doing back in town when I made it perfectly clear the last time that she was to stay away” I looked over at Damon. “And you call Ric, let him know that his not so dead wide just showed up on his girlfriends doorstep” They all looked at me raising their eyebrows. “And what will you be doing?” Damon asked raising his eyebrows. “Shopping” I smirked at them before walking out towards my car ready to go spend some quality me time to get some new clothes and maybe a new car.

As I shopped I thought about everything that has happened since me and Damon was tortured by Jules, apparently Jules’s toy boy and Tyler went to the lake house where Elena and Stef was staying to try and take Elena so they could break the curse, but in the end Stef killed the boy toy and told Tyler that in order for them to break the curse Elena had to die which soon stopped him, but he ended up leaving town which was good for us since that meant no more wolves running around on a full moon.

Bonnie used her magic to find out what Elijah’s plan was by drugging Luca and getting into his head, she found out that in order for Elijah to kill Klaus he had to be at his weakest moment meaning that Elena had to die in the sacrifice, hearing that Klaus was going to die broke something inside of me but I try and ignore it since I knew I wouldn’t be getting any answers as to why that was. In retaliation of Bonnie getting answers from Luca, Dr Martin took away Bonnies magic meaning we no longer had a witch on our side.

Damon threw a dinner party inviting Elijah so he could use the dagger to kill him but of course that didn’t go to plan, but what Damon plan does? Since we found out that the dagger would kill a vampire if they used the dagger Ric ended up using it but took the dagger out after, which meant Elijah managed to get out of the basement and to the lake house to get Elena but Damon got there first and gave her the dagger to use on him meaning he was dead for good until the dagger was removed.

But since Elijah was dead that meant Katherine got out of the tomb which is why the wench is currently staying at the boarding house which made me have to hold in my anger to make sure I didn’t kill the b***h.

At the dinner party Elijah said something about a location of the dead Salem witches which got me thinking about why he would want to know that, he’s a vampire for god sake not a witch, but thanks to Stefan talking to the Martin witches we found out that he needed it so a witch could channel the energy of the dead witches to be able to kill Klaus since there wasn’t a weapon to do it for them.

Stef asked the witches to team up with us since Elijah was currently dead down in the boarding house basement but they obviously didn’t want to since they tried to remove the dagger using their magic but that didn’t turn out so good since Damon barbequed Luca, which then sent Dr Martin on a vengeful rampage to get Elena so he could get his daughter free from Klaus’ clutches.

Katherine did come handy for something since she pretended to be Elena and killed the oldest Martin witch but he came back and gave Bonnie her magic back along with a way to kill Klaus.

So it’s been very entertaining these pass couple of days.

After shopping and getting some new clothes and shoes and all that Jazz I stopped off to compel myself a new car to get delivered to the boarding house, a silver 2010 Chevrolet Camaro SS V8, it was gorgeous and I fell in love with it straight away, I love the fast cars, I couldn’t cope with any slow crap.

As I arrived back at the boarding house Stefan filled me in on everything that I had missed while I was out, Ric had punched John in the face which made me a little pissed that I wasn’t there to see it because I’m sure that I would have enjoyed it.

John had invited Isobel into the Gilbert home because she apparently knew a thing or 2 about Klaus but that was all bull since all she knew was that there are rumours going around about the doppelgänger being alive and that I was in Mystic Falls which meant that any vampire wanting to get on Klaus’ good side would come in to town to try and get us.

She admitted that she used the Gilbert invention to kill the tomb vampires and me because if it got back to Klaus that I was alive or that Katherine wasn’t in the tomb he would come straight to town finding Elena, so she did it to keep Elena safe, which I call bullshit, the woman is just like Katherine, a conniving b***h, but what a shame for her since that plan didn’t work out too well since I was still walking around town alive.

I couldn’t believe that the b***h wanted to kill me after I gave her the one thing she wanted, immortality.

Apparently Isobel had gotten an house in Elena’s name meaning that no vampire could get in without Elena inviting them in, but Elena turned down the bitches offer and told her to get out of the house which I had to give her points for, seems like the human has grown a backbone and started to stand up for herself.

Oh and Mr Matt Donovan now knows that Caroline is a vampire which just adds another problem to our growing pile of them.

“Well, what a fun day you’ve had” I chuckled shaking my head. “Yeah” He chuckled just as Elena came walking in in a purple dress. “You ready Stef?” I raised my eyebrows looking between them both. “Where are you going?” I asked confused. “A lunch’en at the Lockwood’s” Stefan gave me a small smile standing up.

“And where’s my twin?” I asked making them both stop before they walked out of the room. “With Bonnie trying to figure out a way to harness the witches” I nodded before raising my eyebrows. “And the skank who has decided to take up residency here?” Stefan rolled his eyes while Elena chuckled. “Your guess is as good as mine” He shrugged before they left leaving me alone to drink as much blood and whiskey as I wanted, but as I went to head down to the basement to get some bloodbags I was stopped by a knock on the door, a human heartbeat coming from the other side.

Smirking to myself I answered the door seeing my new car sat outside, after signing for it I slammed the door in the humans face before making my way down to the basement to grab some bloodbags before heading back up to the parlour to drink them along with some whiskey with the music on sat in my own little world, which was later disturbed by the music been turned off.

I snapped my head towards the culprit, my eyes landing on Elena, Stefan and Damon who dropped a dead John Gilbert onto the floor. “Er, does someone want to explain why we have a dead John Gilbert on the floor?” I asked raising my eyebrows before noticing the shaken look on Elena’s face and the necklace she was holding in her hand, Isobel’s daylight necklace to be precise.

“Isobel bit John causing a distraction and then Katherine stole my dress I was wearing to impersonate me so Isobel could kidnap me” My eyebrows scrunched together, why would they do that? “What have you been doing here?” Damon snapped glaring at me as he stepped over John’s body. “Uh, what doing it look like?” I asked nodding to the empty bloodbags and holding up my glass of whiskey.

“What so you just let Katherine sneak past you?” He asked making me confused, in fact the whole situation was confusing. “Sneak past me? What the hell are you yammering on about?” I asked looking between the 3 of them hoping one of them would explain it all to me. “Katherine took the moonstone” Stefan explained making me sigh shaking my head. “That sneaky little b***h”

I looked over at Damon who was still glaring at me. “This is totally not my fault, you should’ve hid it better, I mean your soap jar, seriously?”

“Now’s not the time Lilly, we went to all of the foreclosures in town to find Isobel and Elena but they were already gone” Stefan spoke making me look over at Elena. “Yeah, well clearly you found them since here Elena is bringing depression into my house” I spoke before I smirked flicking my eyes down to the necklace she was still holding. “Gotta admit thought, I didn’t think you had it in you to kill your biological mother, ripping her necklace off? Nice move, human girl” I chuckled receiving a glare from them all.

“I didn’t kill her, she was compelled” Elena snapped making my jaw drop everything finally clicking into place, why Katherine took the moonstone why Isobel was back in town. “Klaus” I whispered before downing my drink, I needed something stronger than this s**t.

Shits about to get real, real fast.

“He compelled her to get me then to kill herself, he let me go. Why did he let me go?” Elena asked confused looking down at the necklace. “He has you right where he wants you” I shrugged making her look over at me. “What do you mean?”

“Anything John told Isobel, we have to assume Klaus knows, he would be smart enough to compel everything she knows out of her, so he knows that you’re not going to turn yourself into a vampire, he knows that you’re protected by my brother” I shrugged. “He knows I’m not going to run” Elena added finally coming to the realisation that she was s**t out of look, only way for her to get out of this now is to become a vampire and I don’t think that was going to happen.

“Which also means that he knows I’m in town which means me and you are s**t out of look” I shrugged grabbing a bloodbag off the table. “Which is why we need to take a few precautions because we’ve been played” Damon spoke walking back into the room with some papers in his hands which handed to Elena. “What’s this?” She asked confused looking down at said papers. “It’s the deed to the house, it’s in Zach’s name but as soon as you sign it, it’ll be in your name” Stefan explained. “You’re giving her our house, our families house?!” I snapped as I shot up out of my seat glaring at dumb and dumber. How dare they do that? I built this house, I designed it, I did everything in this house.

“It needs to be done for the both of you, he wants you as well Lilly, or did you forget that little detail? This way Elena can control who comes in! Damon spoke sounding like he already knew that I was going to kick off about this, which of course I was, they’re looking I haven’t killed the human yet, the only thing stopping me was the fact that If I did I’m sure Klaus would kill me for sure.

I looked over at Elena glaring at her. “Lock me out of my house and I will kill everyone in this town along with you” I threated earning glared from my 2 brothers, but before they could say anything John sat up gasping for air making Damon rush over to him, only for John to start apologizing saying he didn’t know what Isobel was going to do, and of course Elena wanted to talk to him alone meaning I was kicked out of the parlour and into the library with Damon and Stef.

As we walked in Stef went to the mini bar pouring us all a drink while Damon’s phone beeped signalling he had a message. “Bonnie says the spell worked, she’s locked and loaded” He spoke as Stef walked over handing us both a glass.

“Well at least something went right today” Stefan grumbled making me chuckle. “Are you kidding? This is amazing, Katherine, Isobel nor Klaus knows that Bonnie has her magic back, nor do they know that she’s currently harnessing a hundred dead witches, therefore Bonnie is literally our secret weapon” Damon looked over at me smirking. “So, here’s to been back on top”
