26; Road trip

Lilly

We’ve been on the road for about an hour and half and I was already thinking about snapping my own neck, it’s been full of Stefan brooding and Klaus refusing to let me go back to Mystic Falls, also warning me that if I ran he would find me, so I knew it was no use.

“What are you doing on this road trip anyway Mr Broody?” I asked looking behind me at Stefan when he let out another sigh. I don’t see why he was so strung up on a girl, a human girl at that, she was gonna die one day since she never wanted to be a vampire.

“Your brother Damon had a nasty werewolf bite, so as payment for me curing him Stefan here decided to join us” Klaus answered when Stefan just carried on staring out of the window. I sat back in my seat letting out a breath as I heard Damon was basically dying, I didn’t know what to think about that since I wasn’t exactly on good terms with him but that didn’t mean I wanted him to die.

“Tell me Lilly, what was you doing back in Mystic Falls?” Klaus asked bringing me out of my thoughts. “Terrorizing my brothers, the usual” I shrugged staring out the window watching as everything flew past us as we drove to god knows where.

“What about you Stefan? What drew you to Mystic Falls?” He asked looking through the rear-view mirror. “I found Elena” Stefan mumbled sulking. “Yeah… sorry about that mate. It’s hard losing the one’s you love” Klaus mumbled at the end I could just hear it.

I was tired of the depressing emotions, I let out a sigh shaking my head before looking over at Klaus. “Please tell me that you have some clothes for me” I spoke scrunching up my nose as I looked down at the scabby clothes I was currently wearing. “There’s some for you in the back seat”

I turned around grabbing the pile of clothes which consisted of some grey jeans, an army green crop top, some black knee high boots, a black jacket and a new bracelet. “Uh, what’s with the bracelet?” I asked confused as I sat back around in my seat with the pile of clothes on my lap. “I had a witch spell it for you” He shrugged.

“Thanks” I mumbled before I changed into the clean clothes throwing the dirty ones in the back seat. It was a struggle but I did it, I wasn’t bothered if Klaus saw it’s not like I didn’t have a body and he’s lived 1000 years so I’m 100% sure he’s seen every part of a woman’s body before, as for Stefan he knew not to look, I would castrate him if he did, plus that’s just disgusting I’m his sister for crying out loud.

“Lilly!” Stefan gritted out making me snap my head towards him only to burst out laughing as I noticed the dirty clothes on his head.

“Stop with the whining, look at the fun side to it all” I smirked at him. “And what’s the fun side of it all?” He asked sending me a glare. “It was a prefect shot” I chuckled as I turned back around in my seat.

This trip was sure going to be fun, note the sarcasm.

“So tell me love, what did I miss in Mystic Falls?” Klaus asked after a couple of minutes of silence. I sighed looking out of the window resting my chin on my knuckles. “I get I’m stuck with you but it doesn’t mean we have to include the small talk”

“You could always run, I like the chase” He winked at me making me chuckle as I turned my head towards him raising my eyebrows. “What so you could drag my death out like you’re doing with Katherine? I’d rather not” I glared at him while he smirked. “I remember you telling me that you need to fight to live”

“Just because you’ve got me doesn’t mean that I’m gonna go down without a fight, plus I don’t fancy living out of a suitcase for the rest of my life” I grumbled looking back out the window. “Believe it or not Lilly, but I don’t want to kill you” He spoke and he sounded sincere.

“If you don’t want to kill me what the hell do you want with me?” I asked looking back at him. “All will be revealed soon love” He answered vaguely making me groan. “How soon? I’m not a patient woman, Klaus” I snapped glaring at him. “I don’t know Lilly. I have to do something before you find out” He spoke running his hand through his hair.

Knowing I wouldn’t get anything out of him I sighed propping my feet up on the dashboard getting comfy in my seat as I watched everything pass us. “You know what, let’s just not talk” I grumbled closing my eyes. “I heard you was the fun Salvatore” I heard him mumble making me chuckle.

Keeping my eyes closed I answered him. “I can have fun, just not with you” I snapped my eyes open when I felt his eyes on me I flicked my eyes down to his hand on the steering wheel which he was clenching. “Lose the attitude love”

I sighed but closed my eyes ignoring him, I don’t know how much more of this I could take, please someone just rip my heart out. I’d rather be bac in Mystic Falls with the Scooby gang who was no doubt depressed because poor Elena died, good riddance that’s what I say.

The b***h was nothing but a whiny b***h anyway always wanting people to protect her, but eh, look how that turned out, she still ended up being dead.

“Come on love, tell me something about yourself, make this road trip entertaining” I groaned since he couldn’t leave me alone for more than 30 minutes. “Eugh! Fine, what do you want to know?” I asked finally giving into him.

“What have you been doing since becoming a vampire?” He asked keeping his eyes on the road. “Ruining my brothers lives, traveling, partying, drinking, feeding, ruining my brothers lives” I shrugged not knowing why he was so interested, my life has been pretty boring until recently thanks to Miss Elena Gilbert and her whole list of problems which then became mine.

“So you’ve spent your whole life torturing your brothers?” He asked smirking making me roll my eyes. “You wouldn’t understand” I sighed shaking my head wanting to leave it at that but Stefan decided now would be a good time to open his mouth.

“She hates me and Damon for what we allowed to happen to her, isn’t that right Lilly?” He chuckled as he popped his head between the driver and passenger seats. “Bugger off Stefan!” I snapped clenching my jaw.

“I can definitely feel the sibling love” Klaus chuckled making me grumble to myself, this is become my worst nightmare. “That was gone way before we became vampires, isn’t that right Stefan?” I mocked my little brother, if he wanted to play this game then I was all up for it.

“Any relationships?” Klaus asked changing the subject noticing the tension between us 2 Salvatore’s. “Of course she’s had relationships, she wouldn’t be Lilly Marie Salvatore if she didn’t, she was known as the towns slut back in our human days” Stefan laughed making me snap my head towards him

“Say’s the boy who was sleeping with the biggest slut ever, who may I remind you was also sneaking into Damon’s bed at night, so you might want to re-think about that, brother” I sneered. “Yeah, well at least I never had a-“ I slapped my hand over his mouth glaring at him.

“I mean it Stefan mention one more thing about any of that I will personally rip your heart out, then you can finally be with Elena” I growled my face vamping out. How dare he?! He knew what that sentence would do to me and the d**k went to bring it up in front of Klaus, how dare he?!

Knowing he finally to my threat for what it was I sat back in my seat looking back out of the window letting the silence take over me as I closed my eyes, my fist clenched and my breathing erratic.

Feeling something wet slide down my cheek I brought my hand up to wipe the tear away. I haven’t cried since I was human and I never planned to cry ever again, it made me feel weak and I’m not weak, not anymore!

I sighed and slowly turned my head towards Klaus who I had seen from his reflection flicking his eyes over to me every now and then. “Where are we going anyway?” I asked wanting to get out of this car, kill a couple of humans and have some alcohol.

“To find some werewolves” He spoke taking his eyes off the road to look over at me and I was surprised to see the sadden look in his eyes, I was confused what does he have to me sadden about? It’s not like he cared about me or knew about what Stefan was going to bring up.

“Fun” I grumbled making him laugh but you could tell it wasn’t one of his real laughs, I’ve known him for a couple of hours and I already knew that about him. “I won’t let them touch one hair on you love” He winked at me making me roll my eyes. “I can handle werewolves, not that I’ve had any friendly relationships with any. I ripped one of their hearts out, killed some for taking Miss Blondie vampire, then I was tortured by the rest of them until Elijah came in to save the day” I smirked at him.

“Jules?” Klaus asked making me look over at him confused. “Yeah, why?” I asked raising my eyebrows. “I killed her” He shrugged making me smile. “Well that save me a job of hunting the she-wolf down and killing her myself”

“Please tell me you killed Katherine as well” I spoke looking back out the window. “No, I turned Jenna into a vampire and then killed her in the sacrifice” He told me making me turn my attention back to him.

“So you killed Jules, Jenna and Elena?” I asked getting a nod from him making me chuckle. “So wish I had been awake to see Miss Human Gilbert’s face through it all” I laughed earning a glare from Stef and a smile from Klaus.

“Just don’t be killing any of the wolves we find, Lilly” Klaus warned going back to his emotionless look but I could read through it all, he seemed happy which is a surprise since he’s supposed to be this cold-hearted man.

“Got it” I chuckled as I got comfy since we were no doubt going to be in the car for a while, but for some reason I felt happy about that, been around Klaus felt like I’m finally home.

A couple of hours later Klaus pulled up outside a little bar, god only knew where we actually were in the world but if this meant I could get out, have a couple of humans or 2 and some alcohol then I wasn’t going to complain. “What is this place, some sort of werewolf hang out spot?” I chuckled. “No, I thought you might be peckish” He smirked before stepping out of the car and making his way into the bar.

I looked behind me at Stef who was still brooding making me groan. “Please stop with the broodiness, you’re depressing me, so what if Elena’s dead? She was gonna die one day anyway” I shrugged before stepping out of the car myself and heading inside.

Walking in I noticed Klaus was already talking to someone but I ignored him making my way over to the bar shaking my head, he didn’t just stop here to let me get some blood, he stopped to get some information from the bloke.

I ordered myself a glass of whiskey just as a man came and sat next to me. “You’re a sight for sore eyes” He slurred and I could smell the alcohol pouring off him. “And your blood doesn’t smell like the best, but you’ll do” I shrugged.

“W-what?” He stuttered with fear coating his voice. “Don’t worry, it’ll only hurt a little” I chuckled before I connected my eyes with his to compel him. “Don’t make a sound” My face vamped out before I bit down on his neck hear his skin tear beneath my fangs pierced his neck.

I let his blood pour into his mouth until I heard his heart stop, letting him drop to the floor I wiped the corner of my mouth not wanting to waste any. I looked around noticing that nobody had even realized that someone had just died, well apart from Klaus who was smirking over at me and Stefan was too busy brooding at the other side of the bar to even care.

“Why don’t you take a leaf out of your sister’s book and have a little fun?” I heard Klaus ask Stefan as he sat next to the broody vampire. I rolled my eyes before picking up the glass of whiskey and having a drink just as I heard a woman shriek behind me, gaining the attention of everyone in the bar, even the music stopped.

I placed the glass down and slowly turned my head to see the woman looking sown at my previous victim making me smirk, I guess I have a good feast ahead of me, I could compel them but as I watched Stefan struggle with it all I smirked. Nope, I’m just gonna make it harder for him, I wanna see him become the ripper I’ve always loved seeing him as.

“Now you’re gonna have to die” I chuckled before I gripped her wrist as she went to run away before biting down on her neck letting her die before throwing her away noticing everyone was in an uproar since Klaus and Stefan decided to join me in my killing.

After a couple more feeds I stood back and watched Stefan do his ripper thing, Klaus joining me with a smirk on his face. “This is so much fun” I laughed as he bit down on a woman’s neck savagely. He drank so viciously her head literally popped off. “That it is love” Nik chuckled.

Once the bar was full of dead bodies, most of them missing their heads I looked around for Stefan who was trying to re-attach one of their head. “Oh great” I mumbled before walking over to him. “Her head isn’t going to magical re-attach Stef” I spoke making him snap his head towards me barring his teeth, his face still vamped out.

“Don’t even think about his” I growled just as he rushed over to me ready to attack me but I anticipated it and gripped him around the neck slamming him down on the floor, the whole time he was trying to escape which only made me tighten my hold on him. “You did this Stefan, you ripped their heads off, now you have to live with the consequences, build a bridge and get over it” I snapped before lifting him up a little only to slam him back down.

I glared down at him before leaving him there on the floor as I made my way back out to the car knowing it was time for us to leave. Klaus obviously got in the driver’s seat since he was the only one who knew where we’re going, a blood covered Stef got in the back brooding making me chuckle. This s**t is the best type of torture he could ever have.

“So did you get the information you really stopped for?” I asked Klaus after we had been driving for about 30 minutes. “That’s what I like about you Lilly, you’re smart” He smirked at me. “What can I say, I’m amazing” I chuckled flipping my hair over my shoulder ignoring the fact that he seemed to know a lot about me.

I looked behind me at Stefan to see him staring out the window. “Lighten up Stef, you’ve ripped peoples heads off before, you still got over it” I chuckled. “Leave me alone Lilly. This is your fault” He grumbled making me snort. “I didn’t force you to rip peoples heads off, plus you wouldn’t be here if you didn’t want to be the hero again to save Damon, so it’s actually your fault”

He looked over at me glaring making my smirk grow as I sat back in my seat knowing I had won the argument. “What have you been doing since 1919? Klaus asked looking over at me. “That precise, but I’ll entertain you. Partying, killing, it’s all hazy until the 90’s” I shrugged making him clench his jaw but I didn’t know why since he shouldn’t even be bothered what I’ve done.

It was silent for the rest of the ride as I watched the scenery go by as I sat lost in my thoughts thinking about my human life, my horrible childhood, how I had the one thing I ever wanted ripped from me in 1858. How my parent were more married about what the town would think about it all rather than how I felt or how happy I was.

But that was over 100 years ago and I needed to let it all go, it’s no good living in the past it just haunts you.

“So why have you been looking for Lilly, Klaus?” Stefan asked Klaus a while later making me listen into their conversation which wasn’t so hard with us all being in the same car. “That’s between me and your sister, and she’ll get her answers when someone dies” Klaus answered clenching his fists against the steering wheel.

“I have the right to know Klaus” I spoke up turning to look at him. “I know you do, but you wouldn’t believe me if I told you, I’m sorry”
