We spent the rest of the day talking and laughing. It may not have been much to them but it was everything to me. I have never had a friend or friends before. Nobody to sit with and exchange stories that will make us laugh so hard that our sides will hurt. Nobody to tell my worries or offer a warm shoulder when I was sad. I might not have gotten to that stage with them but I could at least call them friends. Right? I went to my bed for a quick nap before dinner time. Once my head hit the pillow I was out. There was a tingling sensation in my butt as I was waking up. My eyes flew open and I turned quickly. The person in the room flew out of the bed in a hurry. I looked at Isla while she pretended to arrange the ends of the bedsheet. "Isla" I called. She turned to me with feigned shock
