Mandy’s brows knitted tightly as she shot a disapproving glance at Annie. Her tone was sharp, almost condescending.
“What nonsense are you saying? In this world, women must have strength and ability. Otherwise, once you’re married, you’ll face endless problems.”
Dustin exhaled, clearly unimpressed. He fixed Mandy with a steady look and replied evenly, “I think the problem lies in your perspective. Being career-focused doesn’t mean a woman is exploiting men. It simply means she’s capable and independent. Take Attorney Luna for example—she built her own career with her own effort. Don’t judge others with that kind of prejudice.”
“You—!” Mandy’s face flushed crimson, her anger rising. But Dustin had already taken out his phone and walked out, unwilling to waste another word on her.
