Her heart fluttered as always. She was going to meet the boy she loved. She couldn't understand how Christian and I got excited every time, even though they had been dating for two years. She adjusted the hood of her coat. It was a little cold because it was autumn. The wind of the ocean ruffled her hair.
There was a feeling that bothered her. It was as if something bad was going to happen, but she tried to get rid of the thought. Yes, Christian and I had been cold for a while, but they could get over it. A smile formed on her face as she saw the car parked on the beach. That smile got bigger as the man got out of his car. She was in love with him in every cell. As the young girl got closer to Christian, she realized that her face was rather serious, unlike her own. So it was still cold between them. Her smile faded a little, but she tried to keep smiling again. There was a sudden pain in her heart because Christian never did this when they met. He usually had a mischievous grin on his face when he saw her. But right now he was looking at her like a stranger.
The young man stood in front of the girl he loved. He had always been very good at hiding his feelings. He had come here to do what he had to do. Even though a part of him tried to block him, he silenced it. Sometimes, difficult decisions have to be made in life, and on this day the young man knew he was going to make the decision that would change his life completely. Today he was going to choose between love and power. His choice was always the same. He came to this world to be the sole owner of that power. He began to speak without a single expression on his face.
“I'll be frank with you, Grace.” His voice was like ice. For a moment, the young woman's heart trembled. She spoke quickly, before Christian could say any more.
“What happened darling? There's nothing wrong with us, is there?" One hand went to the young man's arm. The young man's eyes fell on the hand that touched his arm. He looked so coldly at that hand that the young woman was shattered.
“Done, Grace. Sorry, we don't exist anymore and never will again."
The young woman's heart stopped for a moment. Her thoughts collided with the hum of voices in her head. The young girl's hand on his arm fell like a lifeless leaf. A tear fell from her green eyes. When she found her voice, only one word came out of her mouth.
"Why?"
The young man looked at the woman who had collapsed in front of him. He knew she was destroying it, but it was the right thing. The two were not right for each other. If breaking up with her was this hard even now, he would never be able to do it in the future. Even now, he wanted to hold her against his chest and comfort her. This woman's tears had always been strong enough to settle him, and it was dangerous. Grace was powerless in his world, and she would wither like a delicate flower. He couldn't do this to her. Yes, he was also aware that Grace was not strong enough to stand by him, perhaps for this selfish reason. But he was on the inside, he couldn't stand it. Grace was lost in his dark world, her smiles fading. She had no right to do that. It was the right thing for both of them.
After clearing his voice, he began to speak in the most determined tone.
“You are so fragile, Grace. There is no room for weakness in my world. I was well aware of that after the incident.”
The young woman froze. So it was too weak for him. A painful smile appeared on her face. She wanted to speak but couldn't find the words. She didn't want to stay there any longer as her tears continued to flow slowly. No, she wasn't going to beg this man. She wasn't going to trample on his pride any more when he told her that she was weak and inadequate for him.
She sealed his lips as if taking a vow of silence and turned away. It was over, that was the life of the love she thought would last forever. No matter how hard she tried to stand upright, if Christian had been behind her, she would have collapsed to the ground, sobbing. But she had been humiliated enough by that man's side, she was not going to allow any more.
The young man looked at the woman who left without a word. . He wanted her to yell at him, get angry, maybe hit him, but she hadn't done any of that. He wanted her to say something, at least .He had selfishly expected her to object to him. But she didn't. She admitted it. He ran his hands through his hair nervously and tugged at them. He was finished, so why was this big fire inside him?
