Chapter 9That afternoon, Daisuke showed me through the house. Most of the doors either slid to the side into the walls or folded back in tall panels. There were few hinged doors. He, Takeo, and Aki had bedrooms along the back of the house. They shared a bathroom which was at the end of the hall. They each had a doorway that opened to the back yard. There was an awning that went over the walkway outside their rooms. Takeo’s room was right next to mine.
The house was basically one big square around that beautiful garden inside. Every room had a giant window and-or a sunroof. Mine was the only outer room that didn’t have a door to the outside.
