They are soulmates. After a while , the lab demonstrator announces the exam starts now. Mavis , for god's sake don't sleep now its the finals. Mavis letting a small sigh says, Everyone is jealous of my peaceful sleep. Linda was worried for mavis while she assumed her conservative parents or her toxic boyfriend might be the reason of her depressed looking face. Hope she will be fine in a few hours. But after the lab exam mavis suddenly erupts in tears in front of everyone. Linda managed to take her from the classroom.

Linda comforts her and asks humbly , Why is she crying?

Mavis like usual replies nothing . Is it because of derek? Linda asks. Mavis stay quiet keeping her red tearful eyes in the floor and starts to sob . Though she said nothing but her expression and silence tells it all. Linda starts to swear at her best. Mavis stops her and said don't swear in the name of my love in a sad yet heart aching tired voice.
