Chapter Three JOSH TWIRLED HIS beer on top of the bar in slow circles, his shoulders slumped. “I just don’t get it,” he said with a sad shake of his head. “I mean, she said I could decorate, but I’m sure that was just to appease me at the moment. I understand something happened back then, but how can someone not like Christmas? Everyone likes Christmas.” “How did you not notice this last year? Or the year before?” Dimitri asked before taking a swig of his beer. As he set it back down on the bar, he grinned over at Wes Stapleton who leaned on the other side of the bar, listening to Josh’s woeful tale. “Of course, with the way they were always bumping and grinding on each other, I’m pretty sure they didn’t even notice when the holidays hit that first year.” Wes chuckled, shaking his head.
