Let's go home

After making arrangements with new Alpha Kenneth, we loaded up and began the trip home. I must have dozed off, waking only when I felt us stopping to refuel the cars. I got out to stretch my legs, then it hit me, Siberian Fir, my mouth watered. f**k.

'Mate, Mate is here' I hear Jade say. 'Yes, and we need to leave, now' I tell her jumping back in the car and trying to not be seen. Then I notice Chasen, his Beta walking out of the store, followed by my sorry ass mate with some bimbo attached to his arm. Suddenly, he stops, I know he's picked up my scent. I wish I could be invisible, then his eyes hit me, he looks confused, probably wondering why he can still be effected by my scent even though he "rejected" me. Part of me wants to jump out and reject him right now and the other part wants to snatch the arms off the skank for touching what is mine.

Finally, Tony hops back in and starts the car, I swear I heard a low growl as we passed by them. I can hear Jade wimpering, longing for Jax, they don't deserve this, hell neither do I.

James Pov-

After hearing about an attack on The Legion, I raced over to make sure she's okay, I don't know why I care, I don't want her, rejected her, but I still feel drawn to her. The thought of someone attacking her and her pack set off something in me. Something I can't quite understand.

'She is our mate, dickhead' I hear Jax spit out. 'If anyone hurts our mate, I will make them pay with thier lives and you for the rest of yours' he tells me before closing the link

Fuck, I have to go, I need to know she's okay. I mindlink Chasen and tell him to prepare a couple vehicles, we're going to check on The Legion following the attack on them, to "show support" I tell him. 'If that's what you want to tell yourself there guy, ok' he tells me. f**k he's annoying.

We stopped at the local Buckeee's to fuel up before heading over to The Legion, Samantha the shewolf I've been screwing for the past couple of weeks won't let me out of her sight, it's getting rather annoying. I felt her grab onto my arm as we walked out of the store. I'm stopped dead in my tracks, the smell of hot cocoa and vanilla hits me.

'Mate' I hear Jax say. 'We don't have a mate' I tell the stupid wolf. I swear her scent is a little different, I can just pick up a little hint of cinnamon. 'Mate, Mate is here' , I want to tell him to shut up when I see her, her eyes locked on mine, then she looks slightly to my left, part of me is mad she isn't looking at me, but I rejected her, why am I mad? Then I notice the hurt in her eyes. 'You jackass, you hurt mate, allowing this bimbo to hang on us like a fuckin leech'

he says before shutting me out again. Before I can throw this slut off my arm, I notice a tall thin man climb in the driver's seat beside her, he says something and she looks at him and smiles. I want to rip him to a million peices, she should be looking at me and only me like that. I hear myself let out a low possessive growl but before I can force my feet to move in her direction they pull away.

'Yeah, you're sooooo over her' I hear Chasen saying behind me. 'Shut the f**k up' I tell him climbing back into my car. 'Well do we still need to go? Pretty sure she's well taken care of' he says before I punch him in the chest.
