The week seemed to be passing me by in a blur. Luckily for me Keisha, Luna and my sister took care of the ceremony and party details, only asking me about colors I like and food options.

'Are we inviting the jackass?' Keisha asked. 'Most Alpha's are jackasses Vi, you're gonna have to be more specific' I joked. 'The Jackass that knocked up my b***h and doesn't even know how to reject a wolf properly' she uttered. 'Well, that is more specific, and the answer is No. He doesn't respect Me, This pack or the Moon Goddess, so he can go f**k some pack slut at Black Moon' I stated assertively. 'Good, I wasn't going to invite him even if you said yes' she said as she exited my office.

Seriously, I hope they know I do not need protecting from him, or any one else who wants to hurt me or my pup.

'Come In', I said hearing a knock on my door. 'Hey Boss' Chasen said as he entered my office. 'So, boss, Um, word around town is the Legion's having an Alpha ceremony this week, and apparently we're the only pack not invited.

'Doubtful, I doubt Alpha John found someone to take over, the youngest daughter is mated to a warrior and the other one is a crazed killer, who'd mate with that?' I stated. 'Maybe his Beta is taking over' I thought out loud. Which means my former mate would be the daughter of an Alpha. Ironically, that would've made a great match for me, but not with all that freaky s**t going on over there.

Still, it's customary to invite all Alpha's, specially those who live in close proximity to you to any Alpha ceremony to ensure bonds, alliances and treaties will remain. I picked up the phone and called Alpha Brandon of the Red River pack, 'Alpha James, what's going on, it's been a while' he said answering the phone. 'Hey, Alpha, I was wondering, have you heard anything about an Alpha ceremony over at The Legion?' I asked. 'Yes' he said shockingly, 'I would've thought you would have been the first to know' he said. 'Why is that?' I inquired. 'Your mate, well former mate is being made Alpha, even has a female Beta, can you believe that, two she wolves running a pack, Alpha John must be beside himself' he said. 'My mate? But she's a Beta' I said. 'What are, oh that's right, you did not stay to hear everything after the attack, Your mate, isn't the daughter of the Beta, she's Alpha John's oldest daughter, the one everyone said was a crazy murderer' I heard him say, and dropped the phone in shock, not only is Alpha John handing over The Legion to a she wolf, but to one who killed her own pack members. 'Hello, Alpha James are you there?' I heard, bringing me back to reality. 'Uh yeah, I'm here, just shocked is all' I uttered. 'Yeah, well guess I'll see you there this weekend, talk to you later' he said hanging up the phone. I quickly mind link Chasen and tell him the news, 'yes, it's true' and that crazy murder was my mate after all, I don't share that part because he is never going to let me live that down.
