'Somebody wanna explain to me what just happened?' my dad asked. 'Looks like I was just rejected' I said. 'No, He has to say your name and title, who the hell is Daughter of the Beta?' he questioned. 'Apparently his dumbass thought Uncle Gerald was my father, apparently your "other daughter" I said with air quotes, 'Is a mass murdering lunatic that you locked up in the dungeons for the last five years or so.' I watched the other Alpha's squirm realizing they too believed the bullshit rumors. 'Maybe I should explain to the remaining Alpha's that I did kill a she wolf when I was thirteen, and then her brother challenged me to a fight, and he died as well, but a mass murderer, that I am not. Well unless you count today's activities.' I said.

"Baby Girl, we all know the truth, that's what matters" he said trying to comfort me but it did little to calm me or Jade.

- JAX Is livid with him, he has left him for now.

Can a wolf do that?

- When extremely upset, hurt, yes, but only permanently if someone uses black magic or surpresses the wolf with wolfsbane or silver for extended periods of time.

I spent the next few days in my room, wishing I had never walked down those stairs, never went to the garden, never brought him to my room. But mainly, I just wish he would've cared more about me than the appearance of a wolf he knew nothing about. A light knock brought me out of my thoughts, 'Come in' I yelled out. In walked Ava and her sister CiCi, 'Is there anything we can do for you Miss, it's been a week and you haven't even trained, if you'd like we can make your favorite foods, go shopping, do a drive by and blow up Black Moon, you know girly stuff' Ava said while Cici was jumping around yelling 'Gang Gang'. I think that was the first time I'd laughed since the party. 'Maybe later, but training, that sounds like a good way to work out some frustration' and with that I jumped up and headed to the fields.

Once at the fields I used our sparing dummies to let off some steam, I didn't notice the warriors watching. 'Maybe you should go for a run princess, you're scaring the guard' my Uncle said. 'How?' I questioned. 'You're shifting between your wolf and human forms, you look like a blur and it's a little scary'. How could I be shifting and not even realize it? Woosah Jenn, Woo sahhhhh.. I need to clear my head, but I feel drained. I'm sure it's the distance between me and the asshole, being near your mate makes you stronger and his dumbass doesn't even realize it. I decided to go shower and lay down, I suppose I can go down to dinner later. I noticed I started having pains in my chest, at first it was just a pressure, but the closer I got to my room, it had me in tears, my mother must have heard me, because all of the sudden she was helping me into bed just as my entire body began to ache, it was unlike anything I'd ever experienced. 'Shh, it'll be over soon' she said running her hands through my hair. It seemed to last an eternity, but in reality it was probably about ten minutes. 'What was that?' I asked. 'That was the mate bond being betrayed baby' I heard her say. 'You mean he screwed some skank and I have to suffer?' I quipped. I saw the hurt in her eyes, I realized she knew exactly what that was, what it felt like and why, because my dumbass father did it to her, now I get to go through the same s**t. 'I'll kill him one day', I told her, 'I already know that honey' she said as she got up and left me to recover in privacy.
