As we walked back to the pack house Jade was becoming anxious, pacing back and forth constantly.
- Little One, I can't help but feel like danger is coming, be ready.
This is not what I need now, I need to start real life discussions with my mate. 'So, when will you be ready to move to Black Moon with me?' James asked. 'I'm sorry, move? I'm not moving, you will move here" I stated. 'And do what, be a BETA?' he retorted. 'Why do you keep talking about Beta's and crazy people? It's almost like you have an issue with my pack' I said. 'No, but since you're a Beta and I am an Alpha, you'll be coming to Black Moon, end of discussion" he said and continued walking. I, however, did not. 'Um, First of all, You never asked my rank, I am not a Beta nor will I be moving from my pack'. 'Your father told me to take care of his princess in the garden when we met, You told me he's a Beta'. 'No. I told you the person speaking is our Beta, I never said he is my father'. You could see his brain replaying last night over in his mind, dawn realizing I was correct. 'Then who are your parents?' he asked. 'Alpha John and Luna Linda' I said. 'What are you adopted?' he spewed out. 'Excuse me?' now I'm am getting pissed. 'Please babe, Everyone knows your packs history, Alpha John and Luna Linda have two daughters, Merryann who's mated to the head warrior and Jenn, the one that went crazy and killed half the pack, the one they claimed was locked in the dungeons'.
I stood there in shock, did this man seriously just tell me I am not only who I know I am, but that I now allegedly killed half my pack. He must have sensed my anger and confusion, I noticed his lips moving and heard words like 'not your fault' and 'you should learn your packs history'. I was livid. Before I could even form the words,

Can this day get any worse? I linked father, Beta and Gamma to inform them we are about to be under attack, and took off running towards the pack house. I could feel James running behind me, but didn't look back. I needed to get our elderly, our women and pups to safety. Dealing with his bullshit would have to wait
As I approached the pack house doors, my father and uncles were running outside, They stopped as the alarm sounded. 'Get everyone to safety, You're in charge' my father told me. 'Alpha John, my Beta and I will help you with the invaders' I heard James tell him 'We will too' I heard other remaining Alpha's say.
I did not wait to hear the rest of the conversation, I needed to know my mother, sister and my nieces were safe. Once I knew everyone was safely in the panic room, I looked at my mother 'Mom', 'I know, go we will be fine' she told me. 'The code to open the door is grandma's birthday, I have to help dad', She kissed me quickly on the forehead and I pushed the door closed.
An injured howl from a wolf cut through the silence.
-Dad, he is hurt little one. 'Save him Jade, kill anyone near him' I told my wolf, then shifted and gave her control.
A second howl pierced my ears, Uncle Gerald, He was calling for me, 'Jade Go!' - Do not worry Little one, we will protect them with our lives...
