Hannah’S Point of View
Today was day two being an assistant to brick. When I woke up this morning I didn’t see Jules again, so I was just going to take a cab. There was no way I was going to drive. This time I didn’t have to rush to get up because last night I set my alarm for 6:45, So when I woke up I was able to do one of the only things that calm me down, which was running. I pulled on a purple jumpsuit, my hair in a high ponytail, and some old sneakers. Once I stepped outside it felt like heaven. The wind was just right, not too cold and not to hit. As I ran around the neighborhood, I felt my hair blowing in my face. Normally I would’ve got mad, but today it just felt good. Once I started getting tired and it was getting time for me to get ready I headed back. After I took a shower I decided to not wear any makeup because it was such a beautiful, chill day. I wore another pencil skirt that was light pink. I didn’t want to wear another blouse just in case I fell again, so injust wore a white tank top and a black sweater over it. I also didn’t feel like coming home and messaging my feet, due to the many blisters I get when I wear heels, so I just wore some black sandals. After I tied my hair in a low bun, I was ready to go. I left around 8: 15 so that gave me some time, and the drive only took about 20 minutes because surprisingly there wasn’t really any traffic, and when I stopped to get the coffee I didn’t spill any of it and was able to get my own coffee. The only trouble I had was the minor things that usually happen, like bumping my head or stubbing my toe, or knocking something down by accident. I didn’t need to ask the receptionist for the directions again, I had written it down on a sticky note and placed it in my purse. When I knocked on brick’s door,
" Come in”
" Good morning Ms. Brown, I have already placed your work on your desk. And thank you for not being so late.”
He had a little smirk at the last part, Just as I caught the smirk it vanished and was replaced by his original unreadable expression. I sat down at my desk and got to work. I think I had worked for a little over four hours before brick told me to get his lunch. When we work he doesn’t say anything to me. And when he does talk, it’s just ordered. I’m not complaining though, it’s better for me I don’t like talking to people anyway. He told me to get him A Chicken taco from the nearest place I could find. And since I and Jules went there all the time I just got him one from “Albertos Chicken Tacos.” The rest of the day kinda went the same way. When I went home, Jules still wasn’t home, I was a little suspicious but didn’t want her to get mad at me so I didn’t call her about it.
The rest of the week went by the same. Every day I would show up with his coffee, he would have my work already on my desk and the day would be filled with orders and commands. I quickly realized that his favorite food was chicken tacos. I halfway thought he was obsessed with them. I mean the man ate them every day all day. But I didn’t dare say anything about it for fear of my life, hell I couldn’t even look the man in the eye. But I didn’t look anyone in the eye. Jules was just lucky. Brick also didn’t mention anything about the lingerie. He either just totally forgot about the whole thing, or he is really good at hiding it. I was beginning to get used to this job. I think I might get to stay after all.
Hey peeps, This chapter was lightweight and short, because I wanted to make up for the last one being so long. You already know the drill, like, add, comment, and review. Comment your story if you want me to read it. Also, I need to know if you guys want Al’s point of view, so let me know that too. Thank you so much, and I look forward to hearing from you in the next chapter. Byyee.
