Chapter 9 It had been a few nights since Adam had explored the kinkier side of things with Jake—nothing too extreme, but enough to keep the detective intrigued. Adam loved hearing the big guy begging for more. He also enjoyed sleeping with Jake; he felt safe, loved, and that had helped Adam distract himself, perhaps too much, from his discomfort regarding his creepy group member. Pulling his focus back to the task at hand, Adam sat at his desk reviewing Todd Eldin’s notes. The man had been behaving strangely over the past couple of weeks.
