Alpha Anastasios Adonis

~ANASTASIOS (MICHAEL'S) POV~

My eyes fluttered open in surprise when I heard the loud cheering noises from the crowd. I was expecting them to grumble and murmur at the latest announcement but the reverse was the case.

Beta Achilleus signaled for me to stand up and I stood up and waved at the crowd and did a slight bow.

The crowd bowed back and they all chorused “Alpha Anastasios Adonis. We welcome you as our new alpha”

Their happy reactions lifted my spirits and my heart soared high with joy.

There and then, I made a vow within myself to be a good and powerful alpha. An alpha even better than my father.

My mother came to me and hugged me tight, sobbing slightly.

“Congratulations, Alpha Anastasios” she whispered then went back to her seat.

Next was Beta Achilleus, he walked to me and patted me soothingly on my back.

“Alpha Anastasios” he said and bowed then walked back to his seat.

Next were the elders, my brother, my wife.

My wife's now Luna, Luna Aphrodite!!! While my mother remains the Queen Luna Sofia.

Then the crowd all bowed again. They bowed three times and then there were mighty gunshots in the air, signaling the coronation of a new Alpha as tradition demands.

After every necessary thing that needs to be done, the crowd were asked to return home and return back the next day for the burial and coronation ceremony. It was already very dark.

People that came from far were given rooms in the palace to spend the night, but security was tightened as we didn't know who was who.

I placed our best warriors and fighters to guard the palace for the night.

Preparations for the party started immediately. The Omegas went around washing plates, cleaning and decorating the big hall we would use for the party. The chefs went about cooking and preparing varieties of dishes.

I was in my room, cradling my daughter to chest as the preparations went on. I wasn't allowed to participate in the event because of my new status.

My wife and mother walked around in helping out with the preparations. My mother was asked to rest in bed because she just lost her husband but she refused saying that she needed to work to stop her from thinking about my father.

The preparations for the party lasted the whole night till dawn the next day.

They're almost through with all preparations and we're applying finishing touches to all preparations.

The crown and attire my father used to wear was already neatly folded and well kept in my room. When it's time for the party, my father's maids, the Omegas will wear the dress for me and dress me up properly the way I should be dressed as the new Alpha.

My father's maids have been serving him since he became the Alpha and now that he's dead, they would serve me, their new Alpha.

My daughter was already with her mom. Aphrodite took her to breastfeed her.

Soon, everything was completely ready.

An official announcement was made for everyone to re-assemble at the palace. Soon, the palace became filled with people and they were directed to the big hall that was prepared for them.

The big hall became filled and people were now standing outside.

It was time for me to grace the party with my presence as my father's maids, sorry, now my maids, entered my room.

“Alpha Anastasios” the three of them greeted and bowed to me.

I was standing with my back facing the door when they knocked and I asked them to enter.

Now, I was facing them.

“It's time?” I asked, more like a statement.

“Yes Alpha” they chorused. They're standing very far from me and would never come close unless they're permitted to do so.

It still feels strange to be called the Alpha. I was used to be called “Master Anastasios or Beta Anastasios”

Being called the Alpha sounds very strange to my ears.

I nodded my head, giving them the permission to come close to me.

One of them went to my wardrobe and fetched the Alpha's regalia.

“Spread your arms, Alpha” the other said and bowed.

I did as I was told. The Omegas undressed me, leaving me in just my underwear. I had already taken my bath before they came in and was dressed in my casual clothes.

After they undressed me, they started dressing me in the Alpha's regalia, while I just stood straight, with my arms spread out and raising my legs when necessary.

Soon, I was fully dressed and now looking like an alpha. The last thing they did was to place the crown on my head.

“Alpha Anastasios Adonis” they bowed and knelt before me while they're done dressing me.

I summoned them to stand up and they did.

“Go and tell Beta Achilleus that I'm ready” I instructed them.

One of them scurried out the door while the remaining two stayed back. It's like they were asked not to leave my side.

The one that left to carry out my instructions came back.

“Alpha” she bowed. “Beta Achilleus is waiting outside the door”

“Good” I briefly replied and started to walk to the door.

The maids bowed immediately they saw me walking me to the door, not daring to raise their heads to look at me.

And when I got to the door and paused, one of them came to open the door till bowing her head.

I didn't know their names, never cared to know it, anyway. They were my father's maids not mine. But soon, I think I'll get to know their names as they're now my maids.

When the door was opened, I saw beta Achilleus and the elders waiting outside.

“Alpha Anastasios” they called and bowed when they saw me.

“I'm ready,” I told Beta Achilleus.

He nodded his head and together they escorted me to the people waiting for me.

Whenever people see me walking towards them, they always bow at me and keep bowing till I leave their sight.

And when I finally entered the big hall, there was loud chants of “Alpha Anastasios Adonis” in the air and everyone bowed.

I made a speech, promising to be a good leader, to serve with humility and patience, and to protect everyone in my pack. They all cheered and clapped.

Then after paying the final respect to my father, the merriment started.

There was loud music and eating and drinking. Dancers performed, singers sang, lots of acrobatics dances, swordplay, fight competition between warriors and lots more.

And when the party finally ended, everyone retired to their various houses, leaving just the immediate family, the warriors and I in the palace.

I've finally accepted that I'm the new Alpha and I ruled my people well. I became fearless and strong, powerful and brave and just like my father, people respected and revered me.

Just when I thought everything was going too well and too peacefully and that I didn't need to worry about anything, it was then that a big disaster hit me and the pack.
