Wendy POV He's standing there staring at me with eyes that don't dare face mine. When he takes a step forward, I take one back. He sighs and pulls a hand through his hair. "I never wanted for this to happen..." he says quietly. I let out a humorless laugh. "Did you not want for this to happen or for me to never find out?" "One, both? I don't even know anymore." My anger was boiling inside me. How dare he?! "Yeah, well me neither. I gave you a place in my life, in my boy’s life, because I thought you were safe and could be trusted.
