Kora’s POV The next morning, the sky broke open in shades of gold and gray, the kind of morning that looked peaceful but carried tension underneath. I lay awake long before the sun rose, staring at the ceiling while Edward slept beside me. His arm was heavy over my waist, his warmth a constant reminder that I wasn’t alone, no matter how much the darkness in my dreams tried to tell me otherwise.
