I'm staring at Jake, completely shocked. I can't believe what's coming out of his mouth. What did this guy eat? He's suddenly mad at me! Did I do something he didn't like? He's already been a jerk to me, and now he's acting like this?
"Hey, what are you angry about? For the record, you should be happy I let you go. You know I don't understand you. You almost cursed me out before. Why are you acting like we don't have a good time together? What are you?" I say, annoyed.
He pulls away from me and stares at me intently. He turns away as if he's trying to find the words to say.
