JANE's POV
I woke up to a gentle caress on my face. When I opened my eyes, I saw a worried Robert. The joy on his face was obvious when he saw I was awake.
“Baby, how are you feeling? Does anything hurt you?” he asked me. I just shook my head. When I suddenly remembered what happened to Mommy and Daddy, I woke up with a jolt. I was so upset that they were gone. They left me forever. Even though they weren't perfect parents, it still hurt to accept that they were gone.
"Just relax, Baby. There's nothing we can do but accept what happened," I heard Robert say.
"It hurts because I still can't accept that it was my sister who took Mom's life. Dad was the same. He was having a heart attack because of Mom's loss," I cried, my voice cracking.
