Dinner was in full swing at the mansion, but one person was missing. Jane noticed Aireen's absence and turned to Eira, who had just descended from her room. She smiled and kissed her mom's cheek before taking her seat at the table. Elias sat silently, his expression unreadable.
"Eira, isn't your sister here yet?" Jane asked. Eira paused a forced smile on her face. She looked at his brother before answering.
"I think she's going to be late, Mom. She seems to have a lot to finish at school," she said, her voice lacking conviction. Jane raised an eyebrow, her doubt evident.
"Let it go, baby. That's why we gave her a car, so she can do whatever she wants," Robert said, his tone dismissive.
"I'm just wondering. That kid never stays out late. She didn't even text me to say goodbye," Jane sai
