EVA'S POV My heart raced so badly that I was scared it would jump out of my chest. For a few seconds, I just lay there staring at the ceiling, trying to understand why my chest felt tight and why my lips still burned. Clark. The kiss. My body jerked upright as the memory came crashing down on me like a wave I wasn’t ready for. The way his hand had held my face…the way I had leaned into him instead of pulling away.
