The Bakery

Working at the bakery was not only pleasant, but it also helped me discover my inner self : the artist. In the following weeks I learnt to bake and decorate cakes that before I could only edit in photoshop. Prince William was proud of each worker and he also let us name our masterpieces ( as he called our cakes) as we wanted. I named mine Butterfly. It was a lovely oversized pink cupcake with white chocolate snowflakes as topping. Helga ( our mistress when Prince William was gone) told me I did a very good job and that my cup cake was one of her favorites.

All in alll, living without technology wasn't that bad. even if I missed my friends a lot.

" I think you should add a little more personality in your cake " Helga said. She said that the cake looks great but it is not as sweet as my personality.

" Thank you for your precious advice Helga. Today I was going to get out of my confort zone and add more vanilla ." I answered happily. Helga was glad that I always had a plan and that I was thinking about my recipes in detail.

The truth is that baking was taking my mind off my problems at home. Dad and stepmother were happy, but she and my stepsisters started acting rude. I'm afraid I'm slowly turning into Cinderella!

Dad was happy I finally gave up on my phone and I was happier too. My phone never made me as happy as art did. Amd baking is definitely an art I never knew about.

" Good afternoon Prince William! Would you like to taste my chocolate cake?" Holga asked the Prince as soon as he came.

" Thank you Helga, but I already had cake at the castle." he excused jimself politely.

As always , he looks over our works. he admired the product we've made today.

" Something is special about yours" He told me. " May I taste it?" He asked.

I didn't know what to say. I was surprised he refused Helga but he still wants to taste my cake.

" It is delicious. You really got from newly qualified to advanced. Congrstulations Ella". my name sounded angelic on his lips. He was delighted and he spoke softly. Before I could thank him, he disappeared into his office.
