The rest of the day flew by in a barrage of activity, everyone getting ready to travel tomorrow. Arias introduced me to the warriors traveling with us, and I was impressed. My father had well-trained knights; however, Eric, Ashli, and Ryan excelled. They were strong and capable, and I had no fear that we would make it to Martinsdale safely.
Eric was Arias's third in command and incredibly charming. The compliments rolled off his tongue, me blushing the whole time! Arias and Eric spent most of the meeting discussing everything except the trip, but I gathered that was to be expected between the two of them.
