Punishment Clause

I made it until noon before I broke one of his rules and he made it until 12:04 p.m. before making me pay for it.
It started with a phone call.
One I wasn't supposed to answer.
Rule #2: No outside communication unless he says so.
I didn't think he meant it literally. I didn't think "just a quick text" would count. But when I stepped out of the steamy shower and saw the glowing screen with "Ava ❤️" lighting up-I answered.
