I had known that Kane was under the mate bond spell but I wasn't expecting him to shove me away like that. I mean he had grabbed my neck and caused a sore scar with his huge hands but I wasn't expecting the sudden push.
And then the look of hatred that followed suit. The look which felt like a double edged sword sent directly into my chest. It was different from the usual looks he had thrown at me and I could only feel ashamed of myself.
"Did you hear me speak? The council of elders are currently waiting for you in the conference room, you should attend to them now."
"Stand up and get out of the room." Kane ordered angrily, pointing at the door. "It will not be said that I was seen sneaking out of your room. Get up now, and leave the room."
