Lunar Shara's words echoed through the walls of the room and I felt tension, venomous and thick descending onto the atmosphere.
"I don't understand ma'am," I said, struggling to harden my voice as she took a few steps closer towards me.
"You asked your stupid maids to remain in the manor after Kane had asked them to leave. I saw Alisha leaving the castle just now, and when I asked her,she told me you asked her to stay."
"Yes, I asked her to stay and I have started making plans for Elise to be brought back to the castle."
"How dare you!"
"I'm sorry Ma'am, but Alisha and Elise are my ladies-in-waiting and my trusted aides, I can't leave the manor without them."
"But what right did you have to oppose The Alpha's order?"
"The Alpha took the decision without my consent.
