Kane's POV
Rose's guts surprised me. I would never have expected her to pull the stunt she pulled in the council room. I had been distant from the chattering noises the elders were making, lost in the world of my thoughts when she walked through the door. My breath flew out of my lungs and my eyes went with them,she looked like an angel, something entirely out of a picture book.
She was dressed in a long red gown which hugged her slim figure tightly. My wolf yearned at that time and I felt a hard tightening in my groins.
She maintained a casual expression, taking care to not look in my direction when a deep part of me had actually wished she would. I longed to hold her, trail my hands all over her body but I pushed the disconcerting thoughts away from my mind.
