Leela   I felt exhausted and yet exhilarated. My first Period of Judgement had been a success. When we were finally alone, Eli took my hand and walked me past the pillars, plucking figs and pomegranate quarters from the vines as he took me into the palace gardens. The sun had nearly fully set. The Zamee sky during twilight had shown me colours I had never before seen. I still wasn't used to it.  The palace gardens were 20 acres of open grounds to whoever lived within the palace walls. I could see couples on evening strolls, including Moriel's tall, thin form with two very large men.
