Arum I saw the carriages and the riding party come through the gate and I grew more impatient to see my sister. When she stepped out of the carriage, I ran towards her. My eyes nearly welled at the sight of her. She was glowing and it filled my heart with joy to see her so happy. So much joy in fact that I grabbed King Eli into a hug, as well as his mother. I stepped towards his little sister, who I had gotten along with splendidly when we had spent time in Zamee, but I froze. Her black, curly hair blew in the cold wind, slightly covering her face. But I couldn't miss her eyes. Dark as a moonless night but luminous, as though a thousand stars burned behind them. And they were staring deep into my own, wide with shock. I felt something pass between us but I couldn't put a name to it.
