Leela   I woke up to the sun streaming through the thin sheet of white lace that led to the balcony. I did not know when the sun had risen, but already it was hot. "Mistress, I have prepared your bath," came Mae's voice.  I nearly cried again at the familiarity of it and abruptly rose from my bed to embrace her.  "Mistress... are you alright?" Mae asked, patting my back awkwardly.  "I'm just very glad you're here, Mae," I replied.  "There are some new women who will be assisting us, Mistress," she said, with slight disapproval, "but if you say the word, I'll let them know that I can manage just fine."
