CHAPTER 2

HIM. LISA. He walked past us briskly, guards following right behind him. He didn't even pay attention to either of us despite Jessica bowing to greet him with her friends. Now I knew why she was acting pathetic. After he left, she turned back to me, wiped her fake tears, and revealed her true colors." So, how does it feel like losing to me again?" She questioned, folding her arms around her chest, her chin standing tall, and her head held high. Her minions, who called themselves friends of hers, nodded to her words.I cringed backward, snorting and looking at her with disgust boldly written on my face." You mean how I feel knowing you have one of my leftovers again?" I rephrased the question for her and watched as all colors drained from her face. I laughed within." The b***h thinking she has any hold on us. How delusional!" My wolf, Ariel, spat out with contempt into my head, and I couldn't agree any less. Her minions watched as she lost composure and probably did not want her to lose face in front of me so one of them snarled at me." Oh please! At least she got into a better position while you remained a loser". Jessica smiled at her friend's words while her other minions burst into laughter, but I just held my smile on, responding calmly." You are happy your friend w***e her way into a better position by being a backstabber and a w***e?" I asked out in disbelief, and they all reared backward, probably not expecting my counterattack.I let out a scoff before looking at my foster sister, eye to eye." You really do have great friends, Jessica." I commended her but indirectly mocked her, and she knew it. She turned to glare at her friend before seething at me furiously." Whether you accept it or not, I still won". She turned around and barged off angrily, almost tripping in her dress in the process. I saw as she tumbled in her heels and almost landed on the ground if not for her friends, who hurriedly went to stabilize her.I roared into laughter, laughing so hard tears almost came out of my eyes. I made sure she knew I was mocking her. There was no way in hell this b***h was going to hurt me, and I was going to allow her to dwell in it.She turned around furiously to glare at me, hatred evident in her eyes but I couldn't give two f***s and just turned around, not before giving her my middle finger." Mum and Dad will hear about this," she hissed, obviously fuming, but I just let out a giggle." Go ahead, don't grow up and fight your own battles. Let them continue to do the jobs for you" I mocked and continued my journey to God knows where.Does she seriously think I was going to be fazed or get scared like the chicken she was at the mention of Mum and Dad? Yes, mum and dad always favored her more than they did me.Nothing I ever did in their eyes was ever good enough and I don't blame them because I wasn't their biological daughter after all. I was just an extra feeder and a burden to them.According to the story I heard. My biological parents abandoned me in a trash can and that was where I was found. Hera told me this, though, to serve as an insult to me, but I didn't believe her. There was one word I do believe in her lies. I was abandoned. Whatever Hera wanted she got, even if it was my own, personal belongings. I was grateful to her parents for taking me in and saving me.But I also wanted to know why they did it. Hera's parents were not the good Samaritan type. Now let's forget about all those, and figure out how I was going to get the cold-hearted Alpha king's attention. It was definitely not going to be easy at all. I always felt that man hated me because most times when I was with Alexander, and he was present, he would glare in our direction.I knew he couldn't be glaring at his son so it was probably me. I wonder what I ever did to make him dislike me.' Was it because of my low status as an omega?' I pondered, or because I was known across the realm as the mischievous, troublesome wolf, and that was bad for the royal family's reputation?Everything was just unclear. ' Perhaps you are just overthinking?' Ariel, my wolf, suggested to me, but I doubted that was it. I still couldn't believe I had to seduce a man old enough to be my father just to get revenge, and seducing him was even almost an impossible task, meaning there was a two percent chance I might succeed. The Alpha king, Caspain Vaughn, was rumored to have loved his wife so dearly, he never thought of remarrying and never did. Thankfully, she left an offspring for him, a bloodline to take over when he retired; otherwise, he would have been forced to betray her memory.A feeling of jealousy ran through me at this thought. I couldn't believe I was envying the dead." Well, look on the bright side; you might get to take her place." Ariel encouraged me and I let out a sigh, not believing her in the slightest. I couldn't even get his son.'Because he is a prick,' My mind whispered, which I agreed to." But there is no other way, is there?" I questioned." Well, there could be. Think". She told me and I did but got nothing." There is none. The only way I can get my revenge and serve that bastard twice as humiliation as he served me is by being with someone stronger and more powerful than he is, and is there anyone like that other than his father?" I inquired from Ariel, who decided that that was the perfect moment to go silent on me." Well, good luck to me, and may the moon goddess be my guide," I muttered to myself before making my way home in my sad, lonely gown.
