Chapter Twenty-Five Helm knew that he had many years of absence to explain and to repair, if he could. As he took a turn at digging a new drain from the Newkeep hall down to the river in preparation for the autumn rains, he realised that he would need to find time to talk to Feather, to talk properly. Helm had spent most of his days here working with Talis and Jarli. Little as he knew of building permanent structures, he was very experienced in weather-proofing campsites.
