Blood for the Innocent The nursery wards triggered at 3 AM. Through their bond, Aria felt Viktor's wolf surge to violent wakefulness seconds before the alarms sounded. Luna's scent had changed – fear tainting her usual sweet baby smell. She knew what was coming. They reached the nursery door just as the window shattered inward. A figure in black had Luna's crib in their sights, a dart gun raised. Viktor's roar shook the compound's foundations. But it was Aria who moved first, her maternal instincts sending her across the room faster than thought. Her claws found the intruder's throat just as Viktor reached them. She wanted blood.
